The 2016 Hearing Loss Expo is the only expo of its kind! There is no other place where you can see live captioning at a workshop and working sign language interpreters, test drive technology, and learn about services and programs for people who are deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing. Kill that curiosity and stop by the expo!

Expo HallThe Expo Hall has an array of exhibitors featuring camps, ministries, hearing aids, social groups, membership organizations, career options, sign language, and programs/services. View the exhibitor directory at www.dli.pa.gov/odhh.

Hearing Loss ExpoFree Hearing and Vision Screenings

Are you:

• Turning up the volume on the TV?

• Struggling to follow a conversation at work or the dinner table?

• Having blurred vision?

• Squinting and having difficulty reading the small print?

If you answered yes, then stop by the Expo to have your hearing and/or vision screened!

Interactive WorkshopThis is not your typical workshop. It is designed to give you a glimpse of how a person who is deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing functions daily. The workshop includes discussion and hands-on activities. The tables are turned! You will perform tasks using technology, ear plugs, and simulation goggles. There are multiple workshop times, but space is limited. Registration required, so RSVP now!

Educational PresentationsTraditionally, the Expo offers several one-hour presentations on a variety of topics. This year, topics include emergency preparedness, advocacy, and equal access. Presentations are accessible via spoken English, American Sign Language, captioning, and assistive listening devices. Registration is not required.
