Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a leading cause ofinfertility in women of reproductive age. It is a hormonaldisorder characterized by increased testosterone inwomen and is often associated with metabolicdysfunction. In the Binder lab, we study how alteredconcentrations of estrogen and testosterone affect theovary and fat tissues, which may contribute to thesymptoms observed in PCOS. Our goal is to gain abetter understanding of what is happening withinspecific tissues, that could lead to improved treatmentsin the future.
