Our brief …
• An extract from an original documentary TV programme, lasting approximately five minutes,
• together with two of the following three options: – a radio trailer for the documentary; – a double-page spread from a listings
magazine focused on the documentary; – a newspaper advertisement for the
documentary.

What is a listings magazine?
• A listings magazine is a magazine which contains information about the upcoming week's events such as broadcast programming, music, clubs, theatre and film information
Examples of listings magazinesLots of similarities with all the magazines. Includes large picture with a captivating title to draw in the readers. • Price• Small pictures and
titles for other existing programs.

What are the features of a newspaper advertisement?
• Slogan- something to amuse the audience and something to remember.
• Captions- small information to get a taster about what the program is really about.
• Bold title that stands out, contrasting colours .
• Tells you what day and date the program is so you don’t miss it.
• Channel• Extra slogan

• Positives: Colours go well with the food.
• Good picture because its showing you the food in a negative light.
• Negatives: Colours are too harsh.
• Two different fonts.
• Font too small.• Doesn’t look like a
normal advert.• Font goes over the
