• Greeks were famous for there beautiful coliseums and detailed temples.

• Greeks built the temples out of finely cut marble with stone foundations for both beauty and strength. The temples were made super large in order to hold a giant statue of the god that is being worshipped in the temple.

• Normal Greek citizens would live in a simple stone and clay house. The richer people would have a central yard where the children would play and the women would weave. The men and women had different rooms. The men's room were located near the main entrance in order to protect the people in the house. The normal Greek house was the living space for women because they only left the house in order to find silk.

• Greek coliseums were made from the same material as the temples but the floors were not made from marble but from dirt instead. The dirt was placed because its cheap and easy to clean up. The coliseums use were for entertainment like the Olympics and the Gladiator fights.

• The Greeks also building designs were made in order to keep the family cool in the hot summers and warm during the cool winters.

• The Egyptian were famous for the unusual buildings they built like pyramids a sphinxes.

• Normal Egyptian houses were made out of dried mud and clay. Wood was very rare in Egypt so they had to use the common resources.

• The Egyptian houses were usually two levels. The bottom level was for storage while the upper level was for living space. A reed canopy was made to keep the house shaded during the intense onslaught of heat during the Summer. Rich people would live in a house with a central courtyard that contained flowers and fruits.

• Egyptian built pyramids as a tomb to their beloved pharaoh. Pyramids are built from multiple materials like limestone and granite but they often used sand.

• Did u know that out of the seven ancient wonders of the ancient world the Egyptian pyramids are the only wonder still in almost perfect condition.

• Ancient Mesopotamians were known to be the first civilization who made complex buildings.

• Ancient Mesopotamian houses were usually two stories tall. The houses would be right next to each other like a modern day townhouse.

• Ancient Mesopotamian houses were usually made from dried brick because wood and stone was rare.

• The rich and poor people did not have a bid difference in houses. The only difference was that rich people would have larger homes then the poor people.

• Mesopotamian houses had flat roofs thus making another floor for cooking and sleeping during the warm Summers.

• As Mesopotamia flourished the rich houses became increasingly large as the poor peoples houses became increasingly small.

• The Japanese were known for their beautiful temples and amazing rock gardens.

• Japanese were one of the first people to use rocks in there temples. They used wood as the roof and skilled carpenters would make beautiful curves and designs.

• Japanese homes were usually made from the same material of temples. Japanese houses would look just like a miniature version of the temple.

• Japanese usually would have a courtyard where they would have a normal or stone garden.

• Did you know that Japan had there own Atlantis. It was and ancient city that was made during the ice age and when the ice age ended the water levels rose and drowned the village.

• Modern Canadian houses have became increasingly large and alien like.

• Modern Canadian houses are built from wood and mainly glass.

• They are now shaped in geometric shapes.

• Canadian houses are different from Greek houses because they have less tiny details

• Canadian houses are different from Mesopotamian houses because they are made on a larger scale even in comparison with the rich people.

• Canadian houses are different from Japanese houses because its is less religious.

• Canadian houses are different from Egyptian houses because we now have air conditioner and we don’t have to worry about heat.
