• A notorious libertine with a streak for cruelty and utter insanity!

• Killed people when he got bored and tried to make his horse a member of the Roman senate!

• His nephew Nero was also notorious for his fits of violence and insanity

• Mysterious new religions were spreading, the government’s authority was weak and bands of refugees and marauders were running amok!
