Blue-Tip SCREW-BOLT™ anchors are stronger than traditional wedge or sleeve types. They have the low slip and close edge characteristics of adhesive anchors. A combination of a patented dual lead thread and high strength steel material provide excellent performance. High tension loads often allow the Blue-Tip SCREWBOLT™ to be used at a shallower embedment while high shear loads allow use of smaller diameters.

Blue-Tip SCREW-BOLT™ anchors save time and money. They are faster to install and easier to use. This helps to increase productivity while reducing worker fatigue. Installation time is decreased by up to 65%. For fast, easy, cost effective high performance installations, the innovative Blue-Tip SCREWBOLT™ anchor is one product that does it all.

InSTAllATIOn PROCEDuRE

1. Using the proper diameter bit, drill a hole into the base material to a depth of at least one to two anchor diameters deeper than the embedment required.

2. Blow the hole clean of dust and other material.

3. • Insert the anchor through the fixture into the anchor hole. • Begin tightening the anchor by applying forward pressure when engaging the first thread. Additional initial forward pressure may be required for installation in high strength, dense base materials. • Continue tightening the anchor until the head is firmly seated against the fixture. • In extremely dense materials, use of an impact wrench is recommended. • Be sure the anchor is at the required embedment depth. • Don’t exceed the maximum clamping torque. • The installation is now complete.

Installation tips:1. Use quality hexagonal socket with a ratchet spanner.2. Where substrate allows, a torque controlled impact wrench can be used.3. During installation, debris or dust created by the thread cutting action may cause some resistance to be

experienced. This is easily overcome by unscrewing the Blue-Tip SCREW-BOLT™ for one turn or more, and then continue to fix to the full embedment.

Zamac HAMMER-SCREW® - is a unique, one-step drive anchor featuring a No.2 Phillips type head and a screw thread for use in concrete, block, brick or stone. With a body formed from corrosion resistant Zamac 7 alloy and a carbon steel drive screw, this anchor has been developed by Powers® as an improvement over standard Nail-in anchors. Traditionally, Zamac Nail-in anchors have been used for light duty, non-engineered applications and have not been recommended for use overhead. In order to overcome these problems, the Zamac HAMMER-SCREW® has been designed to provide a removable anchor with 40% higher tension load capacities when installed in concrete.

Powers® Wall-Dog - is the first all steel one-piece screw anchor, which features high-profile threads for easy fixing into wallboard, plasterboard, plywood, concrete, hollow or grout filled block, brick, hard plaster. It has deep cutting, corkscrew-like threads providing smooth entry and a powerful hold, and when removed, it leaves a smaller hole than toggles, etc. For fastening into wallboard or wood, no pre-drilling is required. They are ideal for light to medium duty anchoring. Use for shelving to concrete, wall fixtures to plaster, electrical boxes to brick, and many other applications. Buildex Super Wall-Mate® - the Wall-Mate with the greatest holding power, features a wing toggle that anchors itself behind the plasterboard, increasing the pullout strength to a recommended 20kgs. Ideal for holding shelving, mirrors, curtain rods, coat racks and ceiling applications, such as lighting fixtures and hanging plants.

Buildex Wall-Mate® is a complete range of self-drilling plasterboard anchors which provide a strong and secure fixing point to plasterboard, without the need for pre-drilling or locating of studs. Available in zinc diecast and non-conductive nylon. nylon 10kg Wall-Mate® is for medium duty applications around the home, up to 10kgs, e.g. bathroom & garage fixtures, mirrors & clocks. Metal 10kg Wall-Mate® is recommended for medium duty applications up to 10kgs, e.g. curtain rods, coat racks, paintings. Mini Metal 5kg Wall-Mate® is for light duty applications up to 5kgs, e.g. wall phones, smoke detectors, ideal for fixing into Masonite, cane-ite, thin plywood and composite office partitions where space is limited. Mini nylon 5kg Wall-Mate® is for light duty applications up to 5kgs where space is limited, e.g. pictures, clocks, doorbells.

How To use:

1. Place on the end of a Phillips head screwdriver or cordless drill. Lightly pierce the plasterboard and using firm pressure, screw in until head is tight against the facepaper.

2. Place the item to be fixed into place and insert the screw.

3. Turning the screw will engage the wing toggle.

4. Continue turning the screw until it is tight, this will ensure the toggle is firmly anchored behind the plasterboard.

How To use:

1. Place a Wall-Mate on the end of a Phillips head screwdriver.

2. Put point of Wall-Mate where the anchor is to be installed, and lightly pierce the plasterboard facepaper. Using firm pressure, screw Wall-Mate into the plasterboard until head is tight against the facepaper.

3. Choose a screw or hook suitable for the particular application. Attach the item to be fixed by driving the screw into the Wall-Mate.

The Chem-Stud® anchor system consists of self contained two-part glass capsules and matching chisel pointed anchor rods which are installed using a rotary hammer drill and rod adaptors. The Chem-Stud® adhesive is an ester based resin material packaged in single use glass capsules. These are designed for use in the installation of M8 through M24 threaded rod in solid concrete and masonary materials. It can also be used for reinforcing bars.

The Hammer-Capsule® system consists of a self contained, single use, two-part glass capsule into which threaded anchor rod or reinforcing bars can be directly driven without the need for a chisel point or spinning action. It is designed for use in the installation of threaded rod or reinforcing bar in solid concrete and masonary materials.

Drive pins with a .300 diameter head are designed for permanently fastening a fixture to concrete, some types of concrete block, and structural steel. For most applications, time consuming layout or hole spotting is eliminated both in the fixture and the base material resulting in faster installation and reduced costs. The pins are formed with a 0.300”(7.6mm) diameter head on one end, a 0.145”(3.7mm) diameter shank in various lengths, and a specially designed point to allow proper penetration into the base material. knurled shank designs are available to increase performance in steel base materials. To provide optimum performance, a radius is formed below the head to prevent breakage during installation. A plastic flute is mounted over the point to retain the drive pin in the muzzle bushing or fastener guide of the tool and to provide guidance during the driving operation.

TO PROvIDE RESISTANCE TO PULLOvER, THESE PINS ARE AvAILABLE WITH A PRE-ASSEMBLED 14 GAUGE (1.9MM) METAL WASHERS. RESISTANCE TO PULLOvER IS INCREASED BY THE ADDITIONAL BEARING SURFACE PROvIDED BY THE WASHER.
