Most pop artists have a set style. The actress that we plan to use does not conform to this style, which is why we are deciding to rebrand our artist. We will alter her image so that some parts of her do conform to what is expected of a pop artist but we will do this in such a way that we are also creating an individual.

We will do her hair in an 80s pop style which will include curled hair/frizzy and a lot of hair spray. This will help us to create a new brand image for the artist.

The makeup we are using for this character will be mainly dark colours for example black lipstick and eyeliner, partially to match the original Jessie j and partly to conform to what we could expect from a pop music video.

This is not necessarily rebranding the artist as it is what we would typically expect her to wear/use which shows how we are making links between our actress and the artist.

With rebranding the artist we are thinking of outfits for the music video that can go with our other ideas of being an alternative pop artist. This is including:

Leggings

Smart but not tight tops

Canvas style shoes

Flats

When choosing this style we have looked at what other mainstream pop artists wear and we have decided to make our actress so that some aspects of her match to pop artists but not matching specifically to the artist Jessie j and also rebranding her image to make her look more alternative pop stylistically than other pop artists.
