Analysis of film opening Star Wars - The Phantom Menace The Movie is set in the past a long time ago since the beginning image of the opening has words written in blue "A long time ago in a galaxy far, fat away...” The words are then faded out in the shot and faded back in with different words with STAR WARS with background music to exaggerate the feeling that this is the name of the movie with adventurist sounds. The opening credits are then printed and disappearing into the distance, it’s quite effective since the background is black there's a graphic match from black screen to space meanwhile, disturbing, violin and mysterious music can give the impression the movie may start off with a warning or panicking situation which is an enigma code.
