Introduction

Tata Motors is a part of the Tata Group manages its

share-holding through Tata sons. The companyexpanded its operations to commercial vehicle sectorin 1954 after forming a joint venture with Daimler-Benz AG of Germany.

Despite the success of its commercial vehicles, Tata

realized his company had to diversify and he began tolook at other products. Based on consumer demand,he decided that building a small car would be themost practical new venture.

In 1998 it launched Tata Indica, India's first fullyindigenous passenger car. Designed to be

Conclusion is that more than 44% of the market share iscaptured by Maruti and then 14% by Honda.

The segment of small cars is captured by Maruti andthen Hyundai.

Working people specially those who are frontlinemanagers select cars depend upon the fuel efficiencyand budget.

Most of the people are satisfied with the objective theypurchased their cars like status or power.

Every company should think about the lowersegment also like Tata launches NANO.

They should launch advance car like in

western countries. Honda is not dealing in small cars category so

Honda should try that sector also, this will helpHonda to capture more market.

Honda and Toyota should open more servicecenter.

Every company should take care of the

environment because of the increasing traffic likeHonda launches a car with H2O technology.
