Analysis of written article 1The article itself is basically about the dramatic change Dizzee Rascal went through- from being a young criminal to now a very successful musician. This also relates to the images included in the double page spread as the mis-en-scene suggests what his youth was like.

The style of the article is the use of dull colours and a standard font which may reflect the fact that the content of the article is a serious topic about Dizzee Rascals life, unlike the page opposite which is very vibrant and stands out.

It is written in four short columns each of approximately 75-100 words which makes the layout of the text more efficient as it is clear and visually pleasing.

The main heading is quite dramatic as it uses a large, bold font which stands out and attracts the readers attention. It also shows what the article is about and relates to the main image to its left.

MAIN IMAGE- The main image is a mid shot of the lead vocalist of the band- My Chemical Romance and it shows him holding a microphone on its stand supposedly performing at a gig and we can see the drummer in the background. The mid shot of Gerard Way dominates the page and the background is blurred which implies that he is more superior as the focus is on him.
