Ana Cooks

Ana likes to cook. She likes to make many kinds of food.

Ana likes to spend her time in the kitchen. The kitchen is the room in the house that has all of the tools that Ana needs to cook.

First, Ana must get the parts to make her food. Ana adds each little part together using a recipe, which tells her just how much of each ingredient she needs.

Ana gets some of the parts she needs from the refrigerator. The refrigerator keeps foods cold. Ana gets other parts from the pantry. The pantry is like a big closet for food.

Ana reads her recipe to know how much of each part she will need. The recipe also tells Ana if she needs to do anything special with the food she cooks.

Ana uses her recipe to make a pie. She mixes everything in a bowl and puts it in the oven. The oven makes foods very hot.

Ana uses a new recipe to make soup. She mixes her the parts of the soup in a pot and puts it on the stove.

It is now time to go, but Ana is still very hungry. Ana uses one more recipe. She puts her the parts of the food together on a plate and puts it in the microwave. The microwave makes things hot after a little time.

Ana is happy with all of the treats she has made. Ana cleans the kitchen and gets ready for bed. Ana likes to cook, but all of this cooking has made her tired. Ana goes to sleep…

…and Ana dreams about all the food she will cook tomorrow.
