A number of building projects are underway at UCLH. The projects support our vision to provide world class cancer, women’s health and neuroscience services, as well as delivering excellent services in surgery and medicine for our local population.
This leaflet provides information about what building work has taken place and the work scheduled for the next two months.

Email and text updatesEvery Friday, we send out an email to update site neighbours about the work that will be taking place in the next three weeks. We also send texts and email updates during the week to notify of out of hours site works.

During March, April and May, we have:• Completed piling work.• Commenced capping beam construction.• Commenced bulk excavation of the basement.• Installed a bridge over the site to allow access
for bulk excavators.
During March, April and May, we have: • Continued excavation of the basement. We have
now excavated down 4 storeys.
During March, April and May, we have: • Continued construction of the ambulance patient
entrance.• Continued internal refurbishment.
Over the next two months, we will be:• Completing capping beam construction.• Continuing bulk excavation of the basement,
excavating down to a total depth of three storeys.
• Installing the permanent Pit Lane for vehicular acess to the site.
Over the next two months, we will be:• Completing excavation of the basement
excavating down to a total depth of six storeys.• Commencing construction of the basement
structure.
Over the next two months, we will be: • Completing roofing and cladding of the
ambulance patient entrance.• Continuing internal refurbishment.
New facility for Proton Beam Therapy and surgical services
A new centre for services currently provided at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear and the Eastman Dental Hospitals
