An Interview with Ms. Coleman By: Gianna Rubino and Maeve Geraghty Ms. Coleman began teaching here at St. Cajetan in 2008. She went to Mother McAuley for high school and Eastern Illinois University for college. Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite holidays are Christmas and The 4
th of July. Her
birthday is on April 1st, and she
said people sometimes don’t believe her since it’s also April Fool’s Day. Math is Ms. Coleman’s favorite subject to teach, and her favorite sport is volleyball. Her favorite move is “The Proposal”, and she loves shopping at Express and Target. She loves to laugh too. When Ms. Coleman has free time, she enjoys going to her cottage in Michigan. If she could be any animal, she’d be a kangaroo! Her favorite restaurant is Palermo’s. When we asked her if she’d rather eat a live spider or swim in a pool of snakes, she said she’d cry. and Jonny Cosgrove A few days ago we asked
Mrs. Meno some questions. Her
favorite color is blue. She loves
movies with Tom Hanks, and her
favorite book is Wuthering Heights.

Father Frank

asked him the following questions:
Q: Why did you become a priest?
A: I felt a calling that it was what God
wanted me to do.
Q: How many brothers and sisters do you
have?
A: I have one brother and one sister.
Q: What schools did you go to?
A: For grades 1-6 I went to Salomea. For
grades 7-8 I went to St. Victor. I went to
Mt. Carmel High School, and I went to the
University of Illinois for college. When I
heard God’s calling to become a priest, my
seminary was Munelein.
Q: What parishes did you work at before you
came to St. Cajetan?
A: I worked at St. Alexander for seven
years and at St. Julie’s for four months.
Q: Did you ever have a pet before Mickey?
A: I had a black lab named Reggie.
Q: What town did you grow up in?
A: I grew up in Chicago.

We asked Mrs. Zulevic some questions and learned a little more about her. She likes it at St. Cajetan because it is fun and different every day. Her hobbies are reading and going to the park with her kids. Her favorite candy is Snickers, and her favorite TV show is “The Big Bang Theory”. She likes many movies… Too many to list. We went to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade and asked students to choose their favorite movie. The choices were “Forest Gump”, “Remember the Titans”, “Marley and Me”, “Toy Story”, “Frozen”, and “The Lorax”. The results were: “Forest Gump” in first place with 47 votes, “Frozen” in second place with 28 votes, “Remember the Titans” in third place with 12 votes, “The Lorax” in fourth place with 7 votes, “Toy Story” in fifth place with 5 votes, and “Marley and Me” received zero votes. Battle of the Homerooms 2014 By: Lily Dorsch and Maeve Geraghty
Every year, the homerooms compete in a few games in the gym. First through third graders do Sideline Basketball, Keep the Balloon Up, Relay Races, Straddle the Line, and Tug-of-War. Fourth through eighth graders do Tug-of-War, Sideline Basketball, and Volleyball. The winners this year were: Grade 1: McKevitt’s Minions Grade 2: Hayes’s Hurricanes Grade 3: Coleman’s Crazy Crew Grade 4: Harrigan’s Huskies Grade 5: Waterous’s Wolverines Grade 6: Tie Grade 7: Dokianos’s Doorknobs/Demigods Grade 8: Wilson’s Wolverines who waterskied while watching “Wizards of Waverly Place”, which featured Will Smith, Wildcats, and Whitney Houston, who sang wonderful rhymes, like “how much wood would a Wilson chuck if a Wilson could chuck wood”
