green energy - serving emergency power supply. With intelligent
use of this innovative product of high efficiency, energy saving
and environmental friendly, the running cost is greatly reduced.
At Telecom site, when there is no utility power, the DC output of
DCPH not only ensures the telecom grade power supply for the
load but at the same time charges the battery and thereby meets
the constant power demand for telecommunications devices.
In the pursuit of excellence, this product has been conceptualized
and engineered to address not only the optimum consumption of
fuel (diesel) at varying loads but also in the process helps bridging
the ever widening gap that exists between electrical power supply
and demand in developing countries. Relative saving in fuel
burning as compared to the conventional AC Diesel Genset results
into considerable reduction in CO2 emission. With intelligent use
of DC Power House, ACME also achieves its corporate mission
“Technology talking to the environment” and also earns Carbon
Credits.
Concept and Technology of DC Diesel Generator has evolved out
of following facts:
>> Offers the cheapest and most efficient of all Back-Up-Power
solutions
>> Specially designed variable speed engine consumes fuel with
varying load conditions unlike conventional AC Diesel Gensets
>> AC DGs waste fuel while operating at partial loads as engine
runs at fixed speed only
>> Most conventional AC Diesel Gensets are heavy, space-
consuming, noisy machines. Run at constant RPM irrespective
of load applied, they consume higher amounts of fuel resulting
in poor fuel efficiency.
>> In a conventional AC generator, SMPS is required to convert
AC to DC. This results in conversion losses of 10-15 percent. It
provides 48V DC that can be directly used by telecom loads such
as BTS and battery, thereby removing any loss in conversion.
>> MTBF & operational reliability of DC Diesel Gensets better than
ACDG’s
>> For telecom network penetration into rural areas having little or
no-grid availability, initial investment for other back-up power
solutions like Solar, Wind, etc. too high
>> Has brought to limelight several benefits over ACDG’s (refer
table at other page)
>> AC Gensets runs at 20-25 percent of their rated capacity
during the initial years, leading to more consumption and
emissions. This is a drain on the operational expenditure of the

Battery charging current LimitACME DC Power House allows the user to set
the battery charging current limit. This ensures
enhanced life of Battery. The charging process
complies with the technical requirements
and test methods of the VRLA battery for
telecommunication applications. Smart charging
means smart energy management.

7 High-efficiency alternator The ACME DC Power House
uses a proprietary alternator
design that uses a permanent
magnet and no rotating
parts that wear out. There
are no bearings, couplings,
brushes, slip-rings or
rotating fields. The alternator
efficiency is as high as 91%
as compared to 75-80% in
the case of conventional AC
generators.
Remote fuel Level Monitoring ACME DC Power house has electronic fuel level
sensor which monitors fuel level continuously. It is
highly accurate ( 2-3%)Fuel level data is available
on LCD as well as on RS485 comport for remote
monitoring, which helps in controlling fuel theft.
Fuel savingACME DC Power House can reduce fuel consumption
by 30-40 percent compared to a conventional AC
Diesel Generator. A conventional AC generator is
designed to run at fixed RPM and gives best fuel
efficiency when loaded at 80 percent or more,
whereas ACME DC Power House runs at variable
speeds to match the load, thus consuming less fuel at
part loads. Fuel saved is money earned.
Zero conversion lossesWith a conventional AC
generator, SMPS is required to

No power theftAt a telecom site powered by a conventional AC Diesel
Generator, it is common for power to be stolen for

output as DC, which can’t be used for any domestic

An intelligent way of lowering Carbon Footprints ……and Earning Carbon Credits
A Diesel Generator when run for around 8 hrs at a tower site, results in the consumption of around 16 litres
of Diesel per day and 6,000 litres a year. This would mean a CO2 emission of 15 tons per year for a single
tower. For 330,000 existing towers in India, CO2 emmissions per year stand at 5 Million tonnes. By using
DCPH in Place of ACDG, carbon emissions can be reduced by 30% i.e. to 3.5 Million tonnes per year.
This means added benefits in terms of carbon credit and its earnings. Overall, ACME DC Power House reduce
