The President's Message
This is our first show of the fourth season since our reorganization after the war, when it was necessary for us to suspend activities due to lack of manp?wer.
We believe we have come a long way since that time. Thanks to the Ann Arbor Public Schools we were able to present our productions in Pattengill Auditorium and Slauson Junior High.
This year we have the good fortune to present our plays at Lydia Mendelssohn. With its splendid facilities we hope for greater scope for original presentation, thereby increasing audience pleasure.
The Ann Arbor Civic Theatre as you see it tonight is a local group, who feel that there is a place where the people of Ann Arbor have an opportunity to express themselves. This is a LOCAL group open to everyone who has an interest in the theater.
May we take this opportunity of extending a most cordial invitation to all who have--or hope to have- an interest in seeing that Ann Arbor, as a community, will be well represented in the drama field.
"Elsewhere in the program IS information where membership may be obtained.
G. DAVIS SELLARDS,
President
