The polar bear or the sea or ice bear are the world's largest land predators. They can be found in the Artic, the U.S. (Alaska), Canada, Russia, Denmark (Greenland), and Norway.

Global warming is adversely affecting the polar bears, by melting away sheets of Arctic ice very rapidly, which are their floating homesand hunting grounds. Polar bears are also poached for their meat by men.
