All in the Chicken Soup for the Soul Family! We love how talented your families are. Here are three more fabulous family writing duos. Each writer received a copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Writers for sharing her photo with us.

Lil Blosfield (above right) and her daughter Elizabeth proudly show their books. The pair are in “frenzied wedding planning mode for Elizabeth’s big day in May,” mother Lil reports.

Twin sisters Dot Beams (below left) and Donna Hogue were both published in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Twins & More. And Dot was also published in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Answered Prayers.

Gretchen Bassier and her mom Mary Kay (above right) were excited to receive copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Writers. One of the contributors to that book is in their writing group, making it even more special.

Always there for you®

Sue Ross (pictured right) was recently published in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Possible. Sue held a book signing at the Governor Warner Museum in Farmington, Michigan and donated the proceeds to the museum to help with their ongoing renovations.

“I really am enjoying the fact that I was selected—it’s giving me the sense of being part of something that does good,” Sue said. “The Chicken Soup for the Soul series is such a beautifully developed concept, the idea of giving back to the community—and they do it so well. I

really think they make a difference in people’s lives.” Thank you, Sue! We try very hard to give back.

Mariah Julio (pictured left) hosted a book signing for Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Nurses at Barnes & Noble in Lafayette, Indiana. The store sold all 14 copies in stock. “What a fun day!” Mariah said about the book signing. “I’m delighted to be included in this Chicken Soup for the Soul collection.” Thank you, Mariah. Anything we can do to inspire those hardworking, invaluable nurses!

Book Signings across the Country!

You paid me for one of my stories in 2015. Will you send me a 1099 form to file with my taxes? We hate to bring up a sore subject, but it’s that time of year again—time to gather your tax

information! And we are part of that puzzle.

If we paid you for at least three stories last year and you are a U.S. taxpayer, you should have received a Form 1099 from us. Anyone who makes at least $600 from a company receives this form, which is filed with your taxes. We file it with the

IRS as well.

If we paid you less than $600 in 2015, we will not send you a 1099 form for your taxes. You will be responsible for reporting your writing income to the tax authorities on your own.

If you have moved since we published your latest story, and we paid you $600 or more (for three or more stories) in 2015, and you failed to give us your new address, please let us know right away, since we sent your form to your old address. Also please let us know if you think your form is incorrect once you receive it. Contact D’ette Corona at: [email protected]
