Wedding Timeline

A Glensheen employee will be designated as a personal attendant to the bride starting at 2:30 PM to assist the wedding party in following the unique policies of a historic home.

2:30pm - Wedding Party ArrivalCheck into Gardener’s Cottage, Grounds open for Photos.

3:00pm - Vendor ArrivalVendors welcome to the grounds to begin setup or make deliveries.

5:00pm - Guest ArrivalWedding guests welcome to the estate.

5:30pm - CeremonyCeremony begins.

6:00pm - Mansion Tours + SocialGuests enjoy complementary tours and a social while the wedding party takes photos inside the Mansion.

7:00pm - ReceptionReception begins, including dinner, toasts, speeches, deserts, entertainment, etc.

9:00pm - Lakeside CampfireLakeside campfire lit at the Mouth of Tischer Creek.

11:30pm - Last CallLast call for alcoholic beverages.

12:00am - Guest DepartureGuests depart the estate.

12:30am - Wedding Party DepartureAll guests, decor and vendors must be removed from the estate by this time.

Enjoy enter taining within our historic venues like the Amusement Room and Winter Garden within the mansion. Or explore our grounds featuring the Juliet Balcony on the Terrace, Formal Garden, Tischer Creek and Lake Superior Shoreline!

Glensheen provides a variety of tables and chairs that are included in your venue rental. We work alongside you to create a layout design to meet your vision.

The Winter Garden + Amusement Room venues within the mansion of fer microphones, speakers, projector + screen.

Whether the sun is set ting or the moon is already aglow, a campfire on the shores of Lake Superior is the height of exceptional.
