Using mobile phone while driving should be banned

Mobile Phone use while driving is common, but widely considered dangerous. Due to the number of accidents that are related to cell phone use while driving, some jurisdictions have made the use of a cell phone while driving illegal. I think use of cell phone while driving should be banned at any time, at any age or any circumstances.

Cell phones are also a major distraction to the driver, because it occupies one's eyes and attention which should be appointed on the road and though this causes an accident. Statistics showed that in 2009, 5,474 people were killed in the U.S. because of accidents that involved, distracted driving and another 448,000 were injured. Cell phones cause distraction and horrible accidents which even led to death.

In addition, phone use has been linked to slower reaction times. A study at the University of Utah that was published in the journal "Psychological Science" found that people who had conversations on any type of cell phone were twice as likely to hit the person in front of them, braked more slowly and accelerated more slowly after braking.

More importantly, it will put other people’s life in danger .The using cell-phone while driving; grabs driver’s attention then can easily lead to an accident and killing a person. Research has proven that in 2011, 28% of accidents–1.6 million crashes each year–on U.S. roadways involve texting and not paying attention to his/her driving. It is a great importance to understand that using cell-phones while driving can be a very risky business.

I know that we should not use our phone while driving but, when an emergency truly exist we should call 911 to report him or else an accident will occur. But this behavior is wrong because maybe they get into an accident. Thus, they should pull over and then make a call.

Cell phones are great devices that are useful is life but the using of cell phones while driving poses threats to the safety of drivers, their passengers and other road user. Over 50 countries have banned the use of cell phones while driving. Therefore to win the fight against the risk associated with cell phones while driving a combination of physician advocacy public education, medical community awareness, and change in legislations required to increase fines and penalties.

Mobile phones build bridges across five continents which promote and facilitate people's communication. For business and commerce, people can stay in touch with their clients, employers with employees and so on. Now people can work outside their office and never be out of the information loops.

Further more, mobile phones can distribute informations as far as possible which is benefit for someone who has an emergency to report or is in danger. Mobiles can literally be a lifesaver.

The flip side though is that with an increasing popularity of mobile phones, people's obsession with convenience has meanwhile caused enormous disturbance. That's why the use of mobiles has been prohibited in some public places such as libraries and airplanes. What's more, there is a negative effect on users' health. For instance, long-time heavy phone users seem to be prone to certain types of eye disorders.

All in all, the contribution of mobile phone to society cannot be underestimated and people's dependence on it for communication is an inevitable trend, although it has a number of problems that should be well handled. IELTS--mobile phone and youngsters, a necessity or evil

I am trying to get band 7 in all modules, please kindly help me correct this essay. Thanks a bundle!

With the booming of communication technology, the mobile phone has becoming a common equipment for daily use, even among youngsters. Thus raises the question of whether it is a necessity to equip children and young students with mobile phones. In my opinion it depends on what kinds of mobile phones are used and what the young students intend to use them for.

There are basicly two kinds of mobile phone. One is with the basic functions such as making phone calls and sending text messages, while as the technology grows, more youngsters intend to use "smartphones" instead due to its capabilities to install various kinds of softwares and its advanced functionality such as surfing the internet and playing online video games.

Some believe that using mobile phones has a negative effect on children, since kids tend to be easily distracted by incoming message, especially in class. Some would even becoming addicted to texting messages. For those who have smartphones, it is even harder to concentrate in class knowing they can do other business on their cellphones, which is apparently more interesting than the class itself. What's more, kids who have less self-deciplines, using smartphones to chat online or play video games can easily occupy their spare time and even do harm to their physical and mental health. That's why mobile phones are forbidden in some campus due to its negative effect on students' academic studies.

However, we cannot ignore those advantages to equip children with mobile phones. For one thing, parents can easily communicate with their kids instantly to feel safe, also kids can call for help whenever they need or in the case of an emergency, especially in high-crime-rate areas where kids are frequently reported missing. For another, smartphones have so many great softwares that can assist children to look up infomation as well as to organize their time well. What's more, they can easily access the school network to watch videos of lectures and catch up the section they might be missing in class. Such a useful tool is easy to carry and use, therefore it can certainly boost up their efficiency and effectiveness in academic study.

So the question is how to use the mobile phone in a healthy way while avoiding it becoming a "gameboy". Anyway, the main objective for youngsters are still academic study. Certain rules for mobile phone use are suggested in campus and at home, for example, all phones are obliged to be switched off during class and smartphones are only experimental to those whose academic grades are less affected or even improved.
