An Epistle from Paul:

An Epistle from Paul:

The Fog Has Lifted -- It was June 18, 1815, the Battle of Waterloo. The French under the command of Napoleon were fighting the Allies (British, Dutch, and Germans) under the command of Wellington. The people of England depended on a system of signals to find out how the battle was progressing. One of these signal stations was on the tower of Winchester Cathedral. Late in the day it flashed the signal: "W-E-L-L-I-N-G-T-O-N- - - D-E-F-E-A-T-E-D- -." Just at that moment one of those sudden English fog-clouds made it impossible to read the message. The news of defeat quickly spread throughout the city. The whole countryside was sad and gloomy when they heard the news that their country had lost the war. Suddenly the fog lifted, and the remainder of the message could be read. The message had four words, not two. The complete message was: "W-E-L-L-I-N-G-T-O-N- - -D-E-F-E-A-T-E-D- - T-H-E- - -E-N-E-M-Y!" It took only a few minutes for the good news to spread. Sorrow was turned into joy, defeat was turned into victory!    So it was when the body of Jesus was laid in the tomb. Hope had died even in the hearts of Jesus' most loyal friends. After the ruthless crucifixion, the fog of disappointment and misunderstanding had steeled into the followers of Jesus. They had read only part of the Divine Message -- "Christ defeated the enemy” was the rest of that message. Don’t let the world bully you into to thinking there is no hope... Don’t let Satan and his tribe fear you into thinking all is lost… Our Lord is alive and He is coming again to receive His Bride, the Church… Are you prepared for His coming? Are you dressed in His righteousness, faultless to stand before the throne? Do you have the right clothes for the Wedding Feast? Look and see how the fog has lifted!!!

Are We Ready?!

Scripture reminds us all that Jesus is coming back! The BIG question is, are we ready for His return? Do we think about His coming often or is it something we have to be reminded to consider? Our Lord instructed each of us to be prepared/ready for not even He knows the exact moment He will be sent back by the Father (Matthew 24:35-41)… How we need to encourage each other to think… and to be preparing…!!!

His Word is TRUTH!

What is the source of faith? Make no mistake – God’s Word alone is TRUTH! The Bible is our sole source of authority in all matters of faith and practice. To substitute the Bible for any other source in these matters is to abandon truth and exchange truth for a lie… Are you of this persuasion? Does God’s Word matter this much to you? May each of us ever be growing in faith because of our being people of the BOOK! Amen and amen!!
