If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge-- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. Thousands of years ago, and Israelite began his meal by raising the bread in his hands and speaking the ancient blessing: ‘Blessed art Thou, O Lord our God, who has brought us this bread….Only then did the meal begin. Pious Jews do much the same thing todayIbid, vol. 3.p.96

THE BREAD OF LIFE. LIVING WATER

These word are used to help you understand what He can do for you.

His words are like good food to anyone who is “hungry” to listen to them. Just as food cannot do you any good unless you eat it, so God’s words cannot give you spiritual strength unless you read and accept them.

Water cannot satisfy your thirst unless you drink it. The words of God are like sparkling cold water for people who are “thirsty” to know more about Him.
