Read: “The goblin warlord Gnash has started a small village in the foothills of the Ghol mountains.The local constabulary has sent scouts to determine the strength of this settlement and discovered anew structure in the center the goblins were dancing around.
The village lies on the other side of a dank swamp believed to be the habitat of a coven of witches.This obstacle has so far prevented a proper survey of this monolith by a magically-trained group. Themagistrate humbly asks for your help in assessing the village and the monolith. Should you find themonolith to be dangerous and are able to destroy it, the magistrate would be extremely grateful.”

Setup
(Read the italics.)The going is immediately tough. The mist-laden
bogs offer no forgiveness. Even the high ground issoaked through, but at least it is easier to traversethan the foul pools of stagnant murk.
• Ask the players to place their avatars on thelegal places.
The attack is not unexpected, but the swampgoblins are still a surprise as they leap out of thewater.
• Place the Marsh Goblin(s).
They are led by a host of marsh witches, intenton preventing your passage.
• Place the Withering Hag(s).
Goal: The players win by escaping the oppo-site side of the map. When a player is on one of thethree land-locations along the far side (side closestto you), they may move to leave. When all of themleave, they’ve won.
Order of Play: The players go first with a fullturn.
Hidden Rules
• At the end of each enemy turn, for each emptyA location, if there are no players or enemiesadjacent, place a new Marsh Goblin there.Do not place a Marsh Goblin if there are al-ready the starting number plus one. (So, withfour players, never go above six goblins.)
Upon Winning
Read: You escape the witches’ trap and thepath elevates, leaving the marsh dampness and fogbehind. Very soon you can see the Ghols Moun-tains looming in the distance. Somewhere aheadis the monolith Gnash has built, drawing more ofgoblinkind to its worship.

(Read the italics.)As you enter the goblin village, there is no sign
of Warboss Gnash. There are many goblin wiz-ards crowding around the monolith: a tall roughsculpture of dozens of miniature goblins in a pile,each trying to climb atop the others. Those gob-lins directly next to the statue seem especially blood-crazed.
Behind the monolith, a tough hobgoblin clericis barking orders to those around him. “Gnash isat his mountain outpost. We will kill you with thepower of our statue!”
• Add all the enemies.
• Have the players place their avatars.
Goal: The players win by defeating all enemymages.
Order of Play: The players go first but skiptheir movement phase.
Hidden Rules
x: These spaces are adjacent to the goblin mono-lith. Goblins controlled by mages in thesespaces gain +1/+0. Reveal this when the firstgoblin in this area enters combat.
Upon Winning
Read: You defeat the goblins and take a closerlook (and whiff) of the monolith. It is made mostlyof sticks and dung, but radiates a terrible power.You decide to burn it, and light it before running toa safe breathing distance outside the village.
The monolith burns quickly, but Gnash remainsat large! There is a trail leading deeper into theGhols Mountains. Perhaps it leads to his outpost.

Setup
Read: In the foothills of the Ghols Moun-tains, goblin sorcerers have rallied around WarbossGnash.
• Place the Goblin Highlord. This is Gnash.
• Place all other enemies.
The only way to reach him is to fight up thegully, where the spellcasters have already begun togather their mana.
• Have the players place their avatars on thelegal spaces.
“Nothing will stop me from gathering all gob-linkind!” Gnash taunts. “After I finish with you, Ishall build a bigger monolith for my people!”
Special Rules
• The connections marked by dashed lines areadjacent, but non-flying creatures may notattack across them. Additionally, flying crea-tures that attack upwards (darker green tolighter green) may be blocked by creatureswithout flying.
Goal: The players must defeat all enemies.Order of Play: The heroes go first with a full
turn.
