GML-3 is useful in compressor protection or critical machinery. GML-3 provides
all energy parameters and also some useful parameters like run hour, load hour,
voltage unbalance, current unbalance in all three phases.
Generally most compressor and machine fault is caused by over-voltage, over-
current and over load. Gml-3 provides relay facility for those events and also
SMS ALARM is sent to your number or any two numbers you want to
notify.The direct email alert is also sent to track events.
EXAMPLE
Now let’s we have to save our Compressor from over current. We assume Compressor
maximum current is 20 A.
• Change alarm parameter to current as image 1. (To change alarm parameter refer manual.)
• Now we have to set for which condition we want to set alarm. We want alarm if current is more
than 20 A. So set the alarm type at “HIGH” as image 2.
• Now set the current value to 20 A as shown in image 3.
• The main feature we included for compressor protection is
alarm duration. Compressor takes high current for some
time at their startup. So we put an extra feature as “alarm
duration”(image 4) in which you can set time in which
motor takes high current. If we assume that for 10 second at
startup motor takes high current then set the alarm duration at 10 second.
So if the current raising beyond set value you will got an SMS and also email. You can also set
relay for that which can off the motor if alarm occur. So your Compressor will be protected.
You can set various alarms in GML-3 according to your requirement.

You can view log of all energy parameter on www.emdata.in . From where you can view your
motor energy status online from anywhere anytime. If you
are using the generator and other energy source then you
can find by graph which source cause your motor damage.
By above graph you can see your compressor running
status, how much current it takes, when it gone on and off.
You can view all parameters by graph and analysis by
yourself.
