She is one of the great bright spots in my teaching career and I am very proud of her. I have worked with Amy since her freshman year and have watched her blossom into a charming and delightful young lady. Amy has been one of the most dedicated and loyal members of my choir program for her entire high school career. She has never failed me in any way. I have watched her overcome adversity and personal pain. I have watched her bridge the enormous chasms of self-doubt that so often plagued her. I have marveled at her grace under pressure, her poise in performance, and her tenacity in frustration. She is an ideal candidate for the music major. Amy has qualified for California regional and state honor choirs for three years running. She has earned multiple command performances at solo festivals. Amy Cristine has performed in school musicals, countless high school concerts and festivals, and has dazzled at recitals. She performed stunningly as the lead role of Yum-Yum in our performance of The Mikado last year as a junior. She is my “go-to girl” whenever I need a soloist, a section leader, or just that one student who will smile at me during a rough rehearsal. Amy has studied private voice for four years and has also studied piano privately. She has sung in a master class with professional opera singers and has performed incredibly difficult solo works in combination with choir. She is an excellent soloist and an even better choir member. She always knows her music. She is always on time to rehearsals and performances. I have not had a student as capable of future success as Amy Cristine Chavez in many, many years. I will not be recommending any other student I have as highly as I recommend her. Amy has been a delight to me, but now I must pass her on to you. Please take care of her and appreciate her as much as I have. She is, simply, one of the nicest, most sincere, and most capable students with whom you will have contact. AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER

To whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter to recommend Amy Cristine Chavez to your institution.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Amy. She is worth my time and yours.

Sincerely,

Timothy WilliamsChoir [email protected]
