Amy the dragon was like no normal dragon. She didn’t have scales or breathe any fire. She couldn’t fly, so she couldn’t reach the sky.

Her mom would always tell her, “don’t worry Amy you’re not like the other dragons because you’re very special in your own way!”

Her teacher would always tell her, “don’t worry Amy, you’re so special in your own way, just be happy and shout hooray!”

Amy was always sad and would cry at recess because every other dragon played croquet, but Amy was never able to fly that high.

Her friends would always ask her, “Amy why are you so weird? You’re not like any of us, you can’t fly, you have a big brown hat and you specially can’t play croquet.

Amy would practice for hours and hours, but nothing seemed to work. Her wings just wouldn’t reach that high in the sky, she even got a big black eye from so many tries.

Amy was very scared because she knew she would be laughed at again, she didn’t have grace, poise; her dancing was just always despised.

As the class danced, Amy noticed that Herman took a big tumble, she went to help him and said, “Herman are you okay, you can’t even stand up halfway?”

Herman was such a happy dragon when Amy went to his rescue, Herman never had any friends, and everyone would always laugh at him, so this time he was very surprised.

Amy and Herman quickly became best friends, they played together and laughed for hours. Amy taught Herman how to dance, and in return Herman got Amy a big red flower bouquet.
