This incorporated an 80 piece range of t-shirts, vests and sweats as well as all over prints for the menswear collection, placement graphics, brand logos and complete branding packages. Conducted seasonal research trips abroad to compile trend reports and assess the global retail market. Compiled clear and concise design packs to enable immediate sampling whilst liaising directly with factories overseas to source new fabrics and ensure placed packs were being made within required lead times. Created commerical designs, several of which achieved 100% sell-through rate by ASOS, as well as being stocked by most high street retailers including Topman, River Island, and House of Fraser. Independently held meetings with suppliers and manufacturers to discuss current manufacturing programmes and discuss any potential issues, as well as presenting new ideas to buyers. Worked effectively as a whole team to create consistently commercial collections, which propelled the brand from relatively unknown to being nomiated by Drapers for 2 awards; Young Fashion Brand 2013 and Independent Fashion Brand 2013. Generated creative and brand driven graphics and Burberry Prorsum, London Brit and Sport Ranges. Design Assistant for a consultancy specialising in premium branded menswear, with an extensive client list including Russell Athletic, Musto, Pashley, Alan Paine and Canterbury of New Zealand. Implemented innovative techniques using CAD software to represent realistic fabric and graphic qualitites as a key part of the design development process. Developed new trims and branding for each range that was both in direction and in keeping with the Burberry brand guidelines, as well as being solely responsible for building a digital archive of all approved graphics and trims to ensure brand continuity. Assisted designers with the day to day running of the studio by completing design packs, collating mood boards, designing graphic concepts for collections and utilising CAD skills to interpret hand drawn sketches and colouring up product for presentation. Acquired two key jersey accounts to design and manage independently within one year of working full-time, designing all garments, placement prints, labels, badges and motifs. Created and successfully delivered new branding packages, including a new package for Joseph Turner which was implemented for Menswear and Womenswear and remains in place today.
