The accelerated nursing program offered at the University of Arizona is highly competitive with an enhanced course load. Throughout my experience in the Adult Surgical unit, I have gained excellent assessment skills and an extensive set of nursing skills. Prior to nursing school, I was a long-term employee with a ballroom dance school. My sixteen years with this company, ten of which were in Management, afforded me experience in business, education, customer service and sales. In addition, my undergraduate degree in Spanish allows me to communicate effectively with the wider Tucson community. I am driven to continue to develop and implement both my nursing and interpersonal skills as an RN. To utilize my nursing skills in Tucson to provide excellent acute care, and to raise health awareness through education that focuses on nutrition, exercise and holistic care.
