INVITATION TO AMP EUROPE 2020 Dear valued Industry Partner! After a successful inaugural Amputation Prevention Symposium Europe (AMP Europe) meeting in 2019, it is our great pleasure to announce that the second edition of AMP Europe, will be held from October 12 – 14, 2020 in Lugano, Switzerland. As last year it will be a tailored version of the Amputation Prevention Symposium, the flagship meeting –now in its tenth year– held annually in August in Chicago. The first AMP Europe meeting has been a great success with 250 participants, and feedback from participants and industry partners has been very positive. The goal of the AMP Europe meeting remains the same as last year’s and that of the meeting in Chicago: 'save limbs and save lives', and the symposium will be tailored to the specific needs of the health care systems in the various countries in Europe. A renowned European and US faculty will make this global expansion of AMP and it's philosophy possible. AMP Europe will address an unmet need, providing awareness and education regarding CLI prevalence, diagnosis, treatment (surgical, endovascular and medical management), and post- revascularization surveillance. This meeting is the only one of its kind dedicated to the treatment and prevention of CLI, which remains a global problem due to many factors, including a lack of awareness within the healthcare community and the general public. AMP Europe will serve as an excellent forum to connect clinicians—interventional cardiologists and radiologists, vascular surgeons, angiologists, and the entire limb salvage team—with the foremost experts in CLI to gain knowledge and learn from one another. The program will address issues commonly encountered in daily practice and will give attendees the opportunity to gain insight and perspective on technical CLI advances from around the world. Since the congress secretariat works closely with the course directors, we will discuss your ideas and thoughts about the program with them. We would appreciate your written suggestions (topics for symposia etc.) as soon as possible, in order to be able to coordinate all the details and finalize the program. Symposia include room, room setup, basic audiovisual and registration services. Please note that additional opportunities and expenses such as marketing efforts as well as faculty expenses, such as honorarium and/or travel are not covered in the sponsor packages. The speaker’s name and contact details must be provided to EEI GmbH by the sponsor no later than 2 weeks after the registration for sponsorship. The Symposia subject matter must be educational in nature and its material must be provided by the sponsor. LIVE IN A BOX Case content must be discussed with the congress secretariat and speaker selected by the sponsor. The Live in a box program must be recorded and edited by the company. Time slot for this session is a maximum 10 minutes. The Live in a box sponsorship includes the technical set up in room and registration services. Please note that additional opportunities and expenses such as marketing efforts as well as faculty expenses, such as honorarium and/or travel are not covered in the sponsor packages. Our world is constantly changing and we all expect transparency and fairness for whatever decisions are being made. This obviously also influences our field – medical education and the cooperation between physicians and industry partners. We as congress organizers are fully committed to contributing to a more transparent organization of our congresses and meetings. With this statement, HMP, EEI and all its members declare to disclose all information and without equivocation work within the principles of transparency. We will comply with the MedTech Europe Code of Business Practice and relevant local laws, regulations and industry codes. Our “Third Party Organised Education Events” will be submitted to the Conference Vetting System (CVS) for assessment in order to ensure its clear guidelines and rules. HMP, EEI and its members will take any and all necessary measures to comply and ensure approval of its congress and meetings. The focus of our work will always remain in the education of physicians, and furthermore, in giving the patients the best treatment. Exchanging information, especially challenges and solutions is essential to medical progress and this is where we aim to play a major role. The main purpose of our events is to create a space for communication, education and hence, foster new ideas and improvement in medicine.
