JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Conversant with ASME B31.3 & ASME B31.1 and other ASME, API, ASTM, MSS, BS and IS Codes

& standards relating to design / material specification of piping engineering and other industrial Standards Practices.

Review of process data and line list for preparation of Piping material specification and Valve material specifications for different type of valves.

Communicate with the following departments: Piping Design and Stress, Process, Instrumentation, Vessels, Mechanical, Structural, Procurement and Material control.

Review and implement piping requirements on the P&ID’s & requirements of codes and standards for the project specifications.

Prepare material requisitions / data sheets for piping bulk & Special items Zero/Intermediate/Bulk level MTO of Piping Bulks, Insulation, Painting and Support. Technical Specification for the Procurement of Piping Bulk Items (Pipes, fitting, flanges, etc.) & Piping

Specialty items like Strainer, Steam Traps, Manifolds, Sight Glass, Hoses, etc. Expediting with material suppliers (quotation, clarifications….). When required, visit the vendor’s

premises to attend kickoff meeting or clarification meetings. Technical procurement activities like preparing TQs and approving vendor drawings. Technical evaluation of vendors’ offers for piping items (Pipes, Fitting, Flanges, Valves, etc.). Preparation of IBR Package, Preparation of Jacketed Piping and Valve Specification. Monitoring and checking of isometric drawings, GA drawings etc. Preparation of Piping IBR Isometric, Piping GAD, supporting schedule, nozzle orientation, line list,

Process and utility piping routing, Piping cutout GAD, 3D-Modelling in PDMS etc.
