1. Segunda Katigbak-Rizal’s puppy love. Unfortunately, his first love was engaged to be married with her town mate-Manuel Luz.

2. Leonor Valenzuela-Orang was Rizal’s neighbor when he boarded in the house of Doña Concha in Intramuros during his sophomore year at the Universityof Santo Tomas. To finally move on perhaps from his unsuccessful love story with Segunda Katigbak, Rizal frequently visited Orang’s house with or without social gatherings.

3. Leonor Rivera-Rizal’s sweetheart for 11 years who was his first great love. But Leonor’s mother disapproved of her daughter’s relationship with Rizal and sadly consenter her to marry the English man Kipping.

4. Consuelo Ortiga-the daughter of Don Pablo Ortiga y Rey, the Spanish liberal and former mayor of Manila. Eduardo de Lete-friend of Rizal seriously liked Ms. Ortiga and Rizal did not wish to ruin their friendship over a lady. It was said that even Maximino and Antonio Paterno, Rizal’s good friends, regularly visited the lady.

5. O-Sei-San- a Japanese samurai’s daughter who never been experience true love. She taught Rizal the Japanese art of painting known as su-mie, and helped him improve his knowledge on Japanese language.

6. Gertrude Beckett-was the daughter of Rizal’s landlord—Charles Beckett who is an organist at St. Paul’s Church in London. Coming from brief stay in Japan and the United States of America, Rizal chose to live in the capital city of the United Kingdom on May, 1888.

7. Nellie Boustead, also called Nelly, daughter of a rich businessman Eduardo Boustead. Rizal proposed marriage for Nelly, but she want to convert to Protestantism. He backed out

8. Suzanne Jacoby- Rizal moved to Brussels because of the high cost living in Paris. In Brussels, he lived in an apartment owned by Suzanne, she fell in love to Rizal due to his charm and dignified manner.

9. Josephine Bracken- the adopted daughter of George Tauferfrom Hong Kong who came to Dapitan to seek Rizal for eye treatment
