5. Conflict Minerals Managementare natural resources extracted in a conflict zone and sold to perpetuate violence. The most commonly mined are tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold (known as 3TGs) , which are extracted from the Eastern Congo.

Amiad promotes awareness activities related to Conflict Minerals among its employees and relevant direct suppliers, thus advancing the implementation of the international framework for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals.

charity: water is a non-profit organization with a mission to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

After establishing two drinking water systems in Ethiopia and India, Amiad Water Systems continues this tradition with a third one in Uganda.

Amiad & World Water Day

International World Water Day (a UN initiative) has been held annually on 22 March since 1993 as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

Amiad Water Systems organizes yearly WWD activities raising awareness of this important cause to more and more schoolchildren and adults every year.

Amiad Founders’ Grove

Grove planted in cooperation with the JNF (Jewish National Fund) in honor of the 50th anniversary of Amiad Water Systems, honoring the founders of Kibbutz Amiad and as a natural process to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
