“Traditional” Hotel Vouchers

Pros

Cons

1. Indian Travel Agent - Indian Hotel2. Vietnamese Travel Agent - Vietnamese Hotel3. Military Travel Payment Voucher

Descriptors

• Seems official (at least for older people)• Good legibility in B/W and if faxed• Good for older computers & printers• Easy for multiple-brand customization

• Not very attractive• We probably can’t replicate convincing “approved”

stamp/ signature• Seems outdated - which may also be a pro

• Trustworthy• Official• Bureaucratic• Traditional

Transport/ Transfer Vouchers

Official Transport Vouchers

Pros

Cons

1. Malaysian Airline Voucher2. Aus - NZ Ferry Voucher3. Chinese Tour Voucher (I think)4. Escapes.ca Travel Voucher

• Attractive• Look like actual currency• Seem official• Fancy (may make users feel better about the money - like

it’s the “golden ticket”)

• Legibility on lower quality printers & faxes• Need to clear up some space for incorporating individual

traveler names• Potentially difficult to customize for different brands/

customers

02 03

04

Descriptors

• Colorful• High-Quality• Valuable• Substantial

Attraction Vouchers

Pros

Cons

1. Cruise & Meal Voucher2. Parking Voucher3. Attraction Voucher4. Sightseeing bus Voucher

• Attractive, inviting (except parking)• Look like actual tickets/ have some tracking or code• Seem official• All would work well with low quality printers & faxes

• Cool imagery/ graphics may not print well on low quality printers & faxes

• All have supplier branding (vs. AAA or Travel Agency)

Descriptors

• Exciting• Intriguing• Professional• Authentic (as in “not fake”)

Visual element to differentiate from an itinerary and to reinforce to hotel staff that Trav-eler has paid.

Service Date (when traveler is expected to redeem service) (check-in date and number of nights vfor Hotel Voucher)

ATI, AAA, CAA or Travel Agent logo

Supplier Name & Contact Info - including phone number

Room type: (this info is on current voucher in the “Booking Code” field and actually shows the item code)

Information about the hotel or attraction like construction, closures etc. - optional field (new)

Any additional information about hotel or attraction booking for the traveler - optional field (new)

This info is often called “Booking Code” by ATI staff. It is on the current voucher as “Res-ervation Number” in the top right portion of the existiing voucher

Copy is FPO but should have some language to indicate that this is a Voucher (vs. itiner-ary). Also repeating the 800 number for customer service

Special offers/ promotions such as free breakfast or parking - this information will come from DB as available at time of booking

QR code - could link back to reservation or to additional promotions

Showing map - I think this is too much clutter and probably not very useful...we should consider showing promos here - if we decide to keep, find simplest map - showing Yahoo Maps here

Number of travelers determined by Hotel (max numbers of occupants per room) Traveler names will be pulled from DBMS - actual ages will display if 17 years or less “adult” will display if age is 18 years or greater - QC code determines who is assigned to a room

This is the supplier reservation or confirmation number (on current voucher as “Confirma-tion Number”) We should pull the Hotel name and populate it here to make the informa-tion as explicit as possible

Reccomendation is to spell out the date, using US date format in English since most travelers will have an itinerary and this document must be understood by the Hotel staff (mainly English speakers)

Special Offers Hotel Location
