• Jim, Oz, Finch and Kevin return from there first year of College and want to celebrate the summer in style. The four boys and Stiflerbegin to get bored of East Grade Falls and decide to spend the summer at the Lake and have a massive party to celebrate the end of summer.

• The poster and trailer make it a ‘Teen Comedy’ because it shows that the main characters are predominately teenagers dressed in contemporary clothing also throughout the trailer they use crude humor to make it comical for the teenagers as they are the group who would find it funny. Also the use of half naked girls would make teenage boys want to go and see it. The storyline of leaving college and having a wild party at the end of summer is furthermore conventional as there is always a party for them to attend at the end of something. The group of friends finally connotes it is a teen comedy because this is a technique to show that they are at school and it conventional for there to be different group of friends in the school so depicting this makes people want to go and see it as they can relate to it.

• All American Pie’s have an image of a pie on the DVD cover, also the ‘American Pie’ is in bright red writing and also the characters are also always on the posters as these are famous characters for the brand and therefore they are promotions in themselves.
