North Carolina Dedicated to Improving the Health and Quality of Life for the People of North Carolina Celebrating 88 Years of Health Advocacy and Community Service Our Mission: The North Carolina Medical Society Alliance is a nonprofit organization of physician spouses and physicians dedicated to advancing the health of North Carolinians through advocacy and action. Organized in 1923 The North Carolina Medical Society Alliance (NCMS Alliance) is a 501 (c)(3) charitable volunteer organization comprised of physician spouses and physicians dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of North Carolinians through community service aimed at promoting better public health. Membership is open to physician spouses and physicians as well as physicians in training and spouses of physicians

  22. 22. Oregon WHO WE ARE The Oregon Medical Association Alliance (OMAA) is a statewide, non-profit, grassroots organization of more than 4,500 physicians spouses dedicated to the health of Oregon. Membership in the OMA Alliance is made up of all spouses of OMA members. The OMAAs mission is to work in partnership with the Oregon Medical Association and in coalition with county medical alliances, state members-at-large and the American Medical Association Alliance. We are physician partners advocating for a healthy Oregon.

What We Do SERVICE Deliver the Faux Paw program to promote internet safety for children Developed and implemented the award-winning statewide Prescription Drug Turn In Program Support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and SS Washington Print and distribute domestic violence resource materials (regional crisis cards) throughout the state Participate in the nationwide SAVE Program (Stop Americas Violence Everywhere) Participate in Oregon Mission of Mercy Partner with Community Matters to address bullying, harassment, cyber-bullying and youth violence LEGISLTIVE Support activities related to Oregon Medical Association health care issues Educate members about pertinent health care legislation Promote programs that increase members interest, knowledge and involvement in legislative advocacy COMMUNICATION Maintain the OMA Alliance website Develop and maintain a membership database Provide information for the OMA website, Medicine in Oregon and STAT, OMAs monthly e- news SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Conduce an annual fundraising auction to support the AMA Foundation Organize community events involving medical families Develop and promote opportunities that enhance a members sense of well being Provide leadership opportunities

South Carolina The South Carolina Medical Association Alliance was formed to educate, advocate and provide charitable support for the family of medicine and to partner with the SCMA to improve the health and quality of life for citizens of South Carolina. The Alliance endeavors to support the family of medicine, promote health education and encourage participation in health related projects, promotes legislative awareness, provides resources to county alliances, as well as communicates the mission and goals of both the SCMA and SCMAA to its members.

  45. 45. Tennessee MISSION The mission of the Tennessee Medical Association Alliance is to partner with physicians to promote the good health of Tennessee and support the family of medicine. ABOUT US The Tennessee Medical Association Alliance is a non-profit volunteer organization of physician spouses and physicians dedicated to improving the health of Tennesseans and providing support to our state's medical families through: Educational programs Community service Legislative activities Fundraising for medical education and research Since 1928, the TMA Alliance has partnered with the Tennessee Medical Association to forge healthy communities. The membership is comprised of spouses of physicians, medical residents and medical students, as well as physicians. The TMA Alliance is a vital link in the network of 16 local Alliances throughout Tennessee and the American Medical Association (AMA) Alliance. This federation provides a unified voice on behalf of Tennessee's medical families to legislators and policy-makers. In areas where no local Alliance exists, TMA Alliance offers Membership-at-Large to connect physician spouses to the state and national organizations.

Virginia MAKE IT A FAMILY AFFAIR The Medical Society of Virginia Alliance is a committed group of volunteers who support physicians and their families as well as promote the health of Virginias communities. Our membership is composed of physicians spouses as well as physicians in every stage of their career from training to retirement. ABOUT US We are one of the largest alliances in the nation with 1,000+ members. Our mission is to help promote the health and well being of Virginia We are dedicated to advancing healthcare and to supporting medical families. Programs we support include service projects, health education and fundraisers. Ongoing projects include supporting free clinics, partnerships with schools on bullying and internet safety; health care related scholarships; and SAVE programs (Stop Americas Violence Everywhere_ addressing domestic violence. We provide medical family support through social activities. We support legislation that preserves access to care and patient safety. We inform policy makers about health issues and work together to improve the health care system. We support the Medical Society of Virginia Foundation, the AMA Foundation and local initiatives that touch Virginias communities.
