The Design Our gun cabinets were designed based on the simple premise that the cabinet should fit the gun. Your gun cabinet

should be as unique as your guns. Maybe you’re an avid collector, a serious sportsman, or both, we have the rare cabinet

you have been looking for. With several custom designs and finishes to choose from, we have a gun cabinet even your

decorator will love. Our gun cabinets were designed to last a lifetime and than some. We will even build a cabinet to

your specifications.

The Wood American Gun Cabinet selects only the finest oak, cherry, maple, and mahogany. We use FAS select lumber. We rese-

lect for color and grain match. Sometimes visible mineral stains and color variations are natural

occurrences when using solid wood. Every effort is made to minimize natural color variations and mineral stains. The

wood is then sanded smooth utilizing the latest sanding technology found at only the finest furniture manufacturers in

the world. By starting with the finest products available and combining it with cutting

edge techniques we are now ready to continue our journey.

The Craftmanship We do not stock gun cabinets. Every gun cabinet is made for that special individual who has reached that certain mile-

stone in their life. Tremendous attention to detail is given to all aspects of the building process. Old-world glue and bis-

cuit techniques are part of every cabinet, using virtually no nails. Hand carved moldings and onlays are part of every

cabinet design. Meticulously sand, sand some more, and then sand again to hide joints.

The Finish We’ve spent considerable time testing and creating the perfect color combinations (and still do!) Then by utilizing the

latest in deep penetrating stains, heavy bodied glazes, and catalyzed top coats we arrive at a truly outstanding finish.

Flyspecking and distressing combines with the old-world technique of hand staining complete the truly remarkable

process.

Cherry was used as early as

400 B.C. by the Greeks and Romans for furniture making. It is an elegant, multi-colored hardwood. Natural or light

stains accent these color variations. Small gum pock-ets, streaks, pin knots, and figures are common. Cherry wood will darken or “deepen”

With age. This high end wood has an exceptionally lustrous appearance and tremendous character. The grain is more

subdued than some other hardwoods.

it also contains light hues

of yellow-brown and pink. Hard maple occasionally contains small mineral, light tan or reddish-tinged streaks that will darken with stain. It is usually

straight grained, but can be wavy or even curly.

in the U.S. A highly re-garded and durable hard-

wood that is relatively light in weight. Originally used in railroad ties and fencing by early Americans. A wide va-riety of grains that can in-

clude swirls, crotches, burls, leafs, and stripes. The color ranges from a pale pearly grey brown to a deep purple
