Economic Effect
The economic recession the started in the late 1920’s and worsened into a depression by 1933 hit every nation of the world.
Many western democracies like the US turned into welfare nations of government handouts. Other governments took total control with military regimes destroying democracy.
When a huge link like the US economy crashes as in October 29, 1929 all the world economies fell like dominos.
Political Powers
Confident and charismatic leaders like FDR and Adolf Hitler gained support from those desperate and living in poverty caused by the global depression.
Neither politician had an economic program for recovery and used their lack of economic knowledge to “experiment” with unproven programs.
The New Deal and the Nazi economic policies are similarly compared with their government work programs, youth camps, deficit spending, farm subsidies, social security, and anti-business propaganda.
