Indian Societies Under Siege in the United States and Canada

• The indians of this time were considered the “white man” They were a thread to the indians and seen as invaders to their society. They fought long and hard to keep the land they had lived on for decades.

• The Canadians continued to push the indians further west. This was damaging to the indian community. The struggles of the Indians were inflated by the constant control of the Canadians with their land.

• The end of this century proved difficult for the indians yet towards the later years the Indians because a successful part of the Canadian economy.

Conflicting Lives

• The author compares and considers communism and capitalism as a parralled ideology and both countries followed similar in paths and developments. This proved for destruction in both nations

• One of the towns in the US northwest was developed from a railroad community and the other town in Central Asia developed by the Soviet Union as a prison town. Both were developed to provide a purpose

• This shows how Montana is compared to Karaganda Kazakhastan
