ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, “ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES” OF

THE CODE FOR THE CITY OF TRENTON TO MODIFY THE EXCLUDED

HOURS OF SALE

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Trenton as follows:

Section 1. 10-5(A), of the Code of the City of Trenton “Opening and Closing Hours,” is hereby deleted

in its entirety and replaced with the following:

Excluded hours of sale.

(A). No alcoholic beverages shall be sold, served, delivered or consumed, nor shall

any licensee suffer or permit the sale, service, delivery or consumption of anyalcoholic beverage, directly or indirectly, upon the licensed premises between the

following hours, prevailing time:

(1) Weekdays and Saturdays, except January 1: 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.(2) Sundays, except January 1: 2:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

(3) January 1, any day of the week: 5:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

Section 2. Severability. If any sentence, paragraph or section of this Ordinance of the City of Trenton, or

the application thereof to any persons or circumstances shall be adjudged by a court of competent jurisdictionto be invalid, or if by legislative action any sentence, paragraph or section of this Ordinance shall lose its

force and effect, such judgment or action shall not affect, impair or void the remainder of this Ordinance.

Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final passage by

Council or twenty (20) days after approval by the Mayor, whichever comes first.

Section 4. Repealer. All other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby

repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
