AME machine components are precision engineered foraccuracy, long life, and optimal load-carrying capacity. These precision components are designed to performas expected every time. AME engineers can make sureyou get precisely the right components for yourspecific application.

Spieth Adjustable Locknuts provide vise-like locking

without washers and keys. Nut face square with threads.Inch and metric.

Spieth Clamping Sleeves provide keyless, shrink-fitshaft connections. When axially compressed, Spiethclamping sleeves expand to provide a concentricshrink-fit connection between shaft, sleeve and hub.Inch and metric.

Spieth Adjustable Hydrodynamic GuideBushings allow accurate guiding of axially or roto-axially moving machine components on shafts, quills, boring bars and more. When adjusted, a preloadedhydrodynamic guide is achieved. Inch and metric.

Spieth Hydraulically Actuated Guide andClamping Sleeves allow automatic and concentricguiding and clamping of quills, shafts, bars, andsupport posts. Inch and metric.

Spieth Hydrodynamic Expansion Gibs reduce thecost of machining and scraping, reduce vibration and

chatter, and compensate for minor machining inaccuracyon machine slides. Inch and metric.

Tschudin and Heid Linear Roller Bearings usea contoured cylindrical roller design to achieve linecontact with the guideway rather than point contactwith balls. This novel design results in play-free linecontact with minimal pre-load, optimum rolling charac-teristics, long service life with low maintenance, andexceptional load-carrying capacity.

    AMDISK

Hydraulic Clamp Disks and Ringsare made of a high strength bronze piston disk with avulcanized Viton seal, so they can be used with anyhigh pressure hydraulic fluid. Pressures up to 4,000psi. Diameter sizes from 16mm to 75mm.

AMBUSH Hydraulic Squeeze Bushings clampmoving shafts to fixed housings and are capable ofhighly efficient clamping. Standard sizes 10mm 300mm (I.D.) with special sizes up to 600mm (I.D.)and 1,000mm length. Fixture, machine tool and generalmachine applications. Inch and metric.

OTT Precision Worm Gears for backlash-free, high-accuracy index table applications. Excellent for use onCNC machines.

ODU Electrical Connectors provide precision inter-connects for medical, scientific, automotive, heavy-duty industrial, computers, electronics, circuit boards, telecom and other applications. Single contacts, cylindrical, modular, PCB.

SITEMA Safety Catchers safeguard people andmachines against falling loads or tools if a hydraulic orpneumatic pressure system fails, or if a rope, chain, belt, toothed drive or other lifting member breaks.SITEMA Safety Catchers stop a falling load at any pointof ascent and prevent it from crashing down. The sys-tem is ratchetless, mechanically safe and absolutelyreliable. Its self-intensifying clamp design achieves a

level of safety unmatched by any other technology.

SITEMA Safety Locks are similar to Safety Catchersbut with essential differences in the attributes of theclamping system. Rather than catching falling masses,Safety Locks are used for securing horizontal andvertical drives. Holding force is initiated by springs butcompleted by the load itself through the systemsunique self-intensifying clamp design. Available for roddiameters from 12mm.

SITEMA Locking Devices are used for clampingrods in applications that require fixing against externaloperating forces. They withstand forces exceeding1500kN. The energy required for the clamping action isgenerated by pre-tensioned springs or by hydraulic orpneumatic pistons. Release is by hydraulic or pneumaticpressure. Locking available for rod diameters from12mm to 250mm.

SITEMA Safety Brakes are designed to hold amoved mass in one direction (against gravity). Themass is held to a round shaft, which could be an existingcylinderrod or a separate rod. High holding force isprovided by the load itself thanks to the systemseffective, self-intensifying clamp design. Pneumaticallyoperated, for vertical loader axis or vertical/diagonalmachine tool axes.

AMLOK RCH (Hydraulic) and RLN (Pneumatic)Rod Clamps provide power-off clampingon rods andshafts, controlling common problems such as overtravel, drift, bounce and reverse travel. The clamps areactuated by a spring mechanism and unclamped byhydraulic or pneumatic pressure. These rod clamps aredesigned to hold components securely in place aftermotion has stopped. Holding force depends on rod

and piston diameter, and can be multiplied by attachingadditional AMLOK clamps to the same rod.

    Series CCA Advanced NFPA-style Cylinders

with Integrated AMLOK Rod Clamps providehigh locking force to hold a rod in any mid-stroke posi-tion. Clamping is accomplished with spring force, elim-inating the possibility of drift due to lack of air pres-sure. Clamping is released by air pressure, max 60psi.

Workholding is a core competency at AME, and itshows in our expansive North American facility. Hereyoull find horizontal and vertical CNC machine centers,CNC ID/OD grinders, massive coordinate measuringmachines (CMMs), and an extensive inventory of off-the-shelf components for modular or dedicatedfixtures and assemblies. AME also provides a com-plete suite of dedicated engineering services including

fixture design, repair, replacement, machine integra-tion, shop floor implementation assistancein short, everything you expect from a world-class workholdingpartner. No matter what kind of fixture you needhydraulic or pneumatic, dedicated or manual, formachining or inspectionAME can deliver.

Dedicated Fixtures from AME can be created from asketch, concept or CAD drawing and built to your exactspecifications for full I SO-9001:2000 compliance. AMEfixtures are 3D CAD modeled for extreme accuracy anddurability, and designed to hold the tightest tolerancesrun after run. Every fixture is verified in-house before itships to you. A full CMM report available on request).

AMFORCE Power-Off Mechanical ClampingCylinders provide an innovative way to safeguardfixtures, machines, workpieces and operators. Partsare mechanically clamped and hydraulically unclamped,so if hydraulic power is lost for any reason, workpieces

    are held securely in place.

AMROK Tombstones are available in standard orcustom configurations, from semi-finished plain faceto full-grid patterns with precision bushings andthreaded inserts. AMROK tombstones are precisionengineered to hold the tightest tolerances for flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity and surface finish.Virtually any size or style is available.

AMFLEX Self-Aligning Fixture Elements(S.A.F.E.) feature self-aligning ball elements thatautomatically adjust to the contours of a workpiece, virtually eliminating the effects of parts distortionduring machining.

S.A.F.E.-Lock Fixture Plates can be mountedquickly and securely on any AMFLEX grid base. The plates mount horizontally or vertically fordedicated machining.

TRIAG Modular Workholding Systemscombine the characteristics and performance of adedicated fixture in a platform that is completely mod-ular and can be retooled as needed. TRIAG base railsmount to AME standard grids. AME is the exclusiveU.S. distributor of TRIAG products.
