    ABOUT US AME Academy is a Technical Training Organization established with strong support from the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and Industry to provide Aircraft Maintenance career for the interested individuals. We offer Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeships Program to gain working experience on LIVE aircrafts under the direct supervision of Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Our Trainers are Qualified Engineers with plenty of hands on experience in Aircraft Maintenance. Our programme is structured to allow students to experience the aviation environment from the first day of class. We have dedicated the entire first year for Practical Training better known as On-Job-Training (OJT) and Aircraft Maintenance foundation. This training is a HANDS-ON experience. Students will be given several tasks to be carried out directly on live aircraft. At AME Academy, we will aid our students to qualify for EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Technician & Engineer License. Examinations and Aircraft Type Rating is conducted by EASA Part 147. We will train our students to become a valuable asset to any company hiring them. We are providing the best instructors to teach them everything that they need to know about Aircraft Maintenance.     EUROPEAN AVIATION SAFETY AGENCY (EASA)

    The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is a European Union (EU) agency with regulatory and executive tasks in the field of civilian aviation safety. Based in Cologne, Germany, the EASA was created on 15 July 2003 and it reached full functionality in 2008, taking over functions of the Joint Aviation Authorities. A common strategy Air transport is one of the safest forms of travel. As air traffic continues to grow, a common endeavor is needed at the European level to keep air transport safe and sustainable. The Agency develops common safety and environmental rules. It monitors the implementation of standards through inspections in the Member States and provides the necessary technical expertise and training to the system.

    Aircraft registered under European Union - Certification The Certification work also includes all post-certification activities, such as the approval of changes to, and repairs of, aeronautical products and their components, as well as the issuing of airworthiness directives to correct any potentially unsafe situation. All type-certificates issued by the EASA and are valid throughout the European Union. It also carries out the same role for foreign organizations involved in the manufacture or maintenance of such products.     APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAME

    Students join us as a Trainee Apprentice and work their way up to become a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician or Engineer. The Apprenticeship program has been tested and it is created to build knowledge and hands on skills.

    This practice is still adopted by Airlines all over the World because you are trained by Industry Experts to have knowledge and skills that guarantee the job worldwide.

    The program is open to young girls and boys between 17 to 30 years old with good eye sight (color recognition is required), hearing and physical ability. You should at least have SPM with three credits in English, Mathematics and Science subject. Once applied for this programme you will be scheduled for an Aptitude Test and Interview. The test will check your aptitude for aircraft maintenance, cognitive ability and motor skills.

    Once you are accepted, then we will place you in our training program for about 5 years. The first year you will placed for on job training with our Industrial Partner and the second year the class will start one week Theory and one week Practical Training at the hangar.

    Year 1 Trainees would be introduced on the safety aspects of aircraft maintenance and basic engineering skills. The classroom training would include the subjects such as Aviation English, Basic Tools Training, Hangar Safety, Ground Handling, Human Factors, Basic Physics, Mathematics and drawing focusing on aircraft maintenance. Trainees will be exposed to aircraft work on live aircrafts. We prefer to get them to D check or C checks aircrafts as the check duration is longer. All the work performed or assisted on the aircraft will the direct supervision of Licensed Aircraft Engineer in charge. Trainees shall record all the work performed on the logbooks.

    Year 2 Modular course starts here, Trainees will spend on week on classroom and one week Practical Training at the Industry. Under the direct supervision of Licensed Aircraft Engineers Trainees will be exposed to operational sequence for installing, removing, maintaining, repairing or fabricating critical aircraft components, or electrical/electronic, mechanical or instrumentation systems. Applies theory and skills in accomplishing assigned tasks, including electronic data, blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, technical orders and written and verbal instructions. Trainees shall record all the work performed on the logbooks.

    Year 3 Modular course continues on one week class lecture and one Practical Training at the Industry. Under the direct supervision of Licensed Aircraft Engineers our Trainees will work on flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. Will have adequate knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation.. Trainees shall record all the work performed on the logbooks.

    Year 4 Modular course continues on one week class and one Practical Training at the Industry. Under the direct supervision of Licensed Aircraft Engineers the Trainees will work from blueprints, engineering orders, schematics, repair manuals and other technical documents on aircraft electrical/electronic,

    mechanical, plumbing, and hydraulics, power plant, structures or instrumentation system. Trainees may perform electrical, mechanical or instrumentation maintenance, repair and testing in support of specific flight test projects. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains various types of complex aircraft equipment, components, devices or systems. Trainees shall record all the work performed on the logbooks.

    Year 5 Modular course continues on one week class and one Practical Training at the Industry. Under the direct supervision of Licensed Aircraft Engineers the Trainees will maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, and applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation. Notify Licensed Aircraft Engineer or Supervisor of any/all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material and product. Trainees shall record all the work performed on the logbooks.

    On completion of fifth year training and the modular courses our Trainees will be established as Licensed Aircraft Technician or Engineers with EASA followed by Type Ratings. Finally they are ready to commence their Career in the World of limitless Aviation opportunities.

    COURSES

    THE CATEGORY A LICENCE AEROPLANES (Technician) The Category A license is a mechanical based license and permits the holder to issue certificates of release to service within the limits of tasks specifically endorsed on the authorization, following minor scheduled line Maintenance and simple defect rectification. Ref Part-145 A.30 (6). The A license is sub-divided into sub-categories as below: A1 Aero planes Turbine-Engines. A2 Aero planes Piston-Engines. A3 Helicopters Turbine-Engines. A4 Helicopters Piston-Engines. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Category A applicants should have 3 years practical maintenance experience on operating aircraft. All applicants must meet the full experience requirements. Experience claimed towards a Part-66 license must meet the standards of Part-145 and must be correctly authenticated in a manner acceptable to the EASA. BASIC THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Basic knowledge levels for each category license have been allocated relating to the complexity of certifications appropriate to the particular license. A Category A applicant must demonstrate an adequate level of knowledge in the required subjects at a pass mark of 75% on the written test taken at Part 147 Facility.     THE CATEGORY B2 LICENCE (Engineer) The B2 license is avionic based and permits the holder to issue certificates of release to service, following line maintenance on avionic systems. A Category B2 license holder also has a role in base maintenance in supporting the Category C certifier who is the final CRS/SMI signatory. The B2 license broadly covers the following areas: Instrument Systems, Automatic Pilot Systems (fixed and rotary wing), including Auto-throttle and Auto-land Systems, Radio Communication, Navigation and Radar Systems, Electrical Power Generation and Distribution to Avionic Systems. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Category B1 applicants should have 5 years practical maintenance experience on operating aircraft. All applicants must meet the full experience requirements. Experience claimed towards a Part-66 license must meet the standards of Part-145 and must be correctly authenticated in a manner acceptable to the CAA.
