UTX®–SWING
The UTX® is a line of custom stance control KAFOs that stabilize the knee during the stance phase of gait, but enables knee flexion during swing phase. The UTX® can also be configured as a non-stance control KAFO model, “STABLE,” that locks and unlocks by control of the user.
Indications:Independent of pathology, successful users will typically have hip extensor/ flexor strength (Grade 3) and passive ankle dorsiflexion.
UTX®–FS
The UTX®-FS offers additional support of the knee in the coronal plane for valgus or varus instabilities. The UTX®-FS ensures optimal stability while walking.
Indications:Valgus or varus instabilities, or when additional support in the coronal plane is required.
UTX®–POST
The UTX®-Post provides additional control of the knee in the sagittal plane for patients with genu recurvatum. The UTX®-POST can help prevent the progression of chronic kneehyperextension.
Indications:Genu recurvatum, or when additional support in the sagittal plane is required.
UTX®–DZ
The UTX®-DZ is a UTX®-SWING combined with a medial ankle joint and stirrup for additional stability around the ankle.
Indications:Same as the UTX®-SWING with required additional stability in the sagittal and frontal planes around the ankle.
