Spring/Summer 2012 …The Good Luck Girl!

She takes the train by herself. She wears a dress with a man’s hat- and she drops coins into the hands of panhandling children who have jumped onto the outside of the passenger car. They smile when they take the money, and they give her no thanks; but she does not give the money out of pity; she gives because she seeks balance. They have nothing- she has so much. They wear rags- and though her dress is simple, somewhere the same silk is worn by a queen. It is only right and good that from the deep pockets of this dress come an offering- an unexpected gift. !
