St. Joseph, West Branch Memorial Day
Memorial Day Prayer
Dear Lord, on this day, we remember those who have served us by protecting our free-doms. When we celebrate our long weekend with our friends and family, help us remem-ber, that our freedom to speak of you, and our freedom to worship you, and our freedom to do that which we ought to do, have all been bought at the price and sacrifice of many lives. Your Son died for our eternal life in heaven. So too, your children died protecting us here on earth. Help us be mindful this weekend and al-ways of the sacrifices made by those in uni-form for all our freedoms. Amen.
Memorial Day Mass
There will be a service at St. Joseph Ceme-tery (weather permitting) this Monday, May 28 at 8:30am. If it is raining, a Mass will be held at St. Joseph church.

Box Tops for Education has been a solid fundraiser for many years. All you have to do is cut
off the logo on top of the General Mills product you buy and bring them into St. Joseph School. There are hundreds of products that have these tops on them. The more box tops, the more money for our programs. Boxtopsforeducation.com
Shoparoo Users download an app on their phone and then take pictures of their
receipts. Shoparoo keeps track of the receipts and gives money for the receipt. www.shoparoo.com
Coca Cola products have points printed on their labels. Enter the points at https://
donate.mycokerewards.com and coke sends St. Joseph School a check.
Through our Direct Your Dollars program, eligible nonprofit organizations can
earn $1,000, simply by collecting $150,000 in eligible receipts from any of the 150 SpartanNash-owned retail stores or fuel centers in eight states. Just bring in your receipts from Family Fare and we will do the rest. **All of these programs have apps for your cell phone that can earn even more money. If we can all look to committing to these fundraisers, we can help support St. Joseph Catholic School. The potential is there to bring in a lot of money if we all participate.

The feast of the Visitation of the Blessed
Virgin Mary celebrates the visit of Mary, the Mother of God, with the child Jesus in her womb, to her cousin Elizabeth. The visit
took place when Elizabeth was herself six months' pregnant with the forerunner of
Christ, Saint John the Baptist.
Children’s Corner
Mission for the Week When we read the Gospel, Jesus teaches us about he
Father. What have you learned so far about the Holy
Spirit? Using the concordance found at the back of
your Bible, look up "Holy Spirit." As a family, write
down the verses, find them in your Bible, and read
them out loud. Talk about each verse. If you have
any questions, write them down and ask your pastor
or teacher for help.
Prayer
Dear God, help me to teach my friends how to love
and follow you-Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
