Constructed of 2" thick extruded aluminum rails and stiles, these doors are built to

last. The ClearView Aluminum Strut System provides strength and durability without

restricting the viewing area. With a wide selection of glass, acrylic and polycarbonate

glazing options, in more than two dozen paint and anodize finishes, the Amarr 3582 is

style. The Amarr 2731 is built with two 27-gauge

steel layers surrounding a 1-3/8" polystyrene core.

For style, the exterior layer features a flush profile

with woodgrain embossment for a more upscale

look reminiscent of typical residential doors. The

interior skin features a flush profile with stucco

embossment for a clean interior surface.

Challenge: Create an inviting and functional sectional doors solution for numerous adaptive reuse development tenants that maximizes industrial atmosphere sight lines, expands the impact of interior lighting as well as blurs the boundaries between spaces, both indoors and out.

Solution: 22 Amarr® 3552 Heavy-Duty Aluminum Full View sectional doors (including one combination aluminum and steel door) for ten separate business that feature various finishes, ClearView aluminum struts, and 1/8” tempered glass.

Results: A multiple full view sectional door solution that allows both natural and artificial light to filter throughout the development’s interior spaces, creates operable wall access to outdoor spaces (such as for dining) and opens up businesses to interior public spaces to encourage foot traffic.

Formerly the home of Stanley Aviation Corporation, known for its

aircraft ejector seats, the 22-acre Stanley Marketplace in Aurora, Colo.

has helped to revitalize an otherwise blighted neighborhood.

What started out as a developer’s simple mission to create a beer

garden on the corner of the property soon grew into much bigger plans.

Developer Flightline Ventures quickly determined that the property

offered so much potential that they decided to overhaul the entire

140,000 square-foot structure from top to bottom, inside and out.

According to the project manager, Marcel van Garderen, WORKSHOP8,

his firm identified several important architectural elements required

for the space. One of the most important included incorporating full

view sectional doors throughout the property’s exterior and interior.

Installing full view sectional doors on the exterior and interior walls

easily allows both natural and artificial light to filter throughout the

repurposed structure.

The MOVE is an innovative multi-tenant office building completed mid-

summer 2016. The MOVE fills the gap between available small-scale

office space and single-company office buildings in the Castle Rock area.

The MOVE’s exterior façade is industrial in appearance, complete with

corrugated metal exteriors, exposed structural steel and ground faced

concrete masonry. Complementing its industrial façade, and one of

The MOVE represents one of the unique upper-story applications for

Amarr anodized aluminum full-view sectional doors.

One of the design challenges was the mix of acoustical drop and open

structure ceilings. As a result, all of the full view sectional doors use a

low headroom (dual) track approach. The door’s top panel slides into

the upper track while the panels below slide into the lower track which

has a tighter radius.

Solution: A total of 16 creatively positioned Amarr® 3552 Heavy-Duty Aluminum Full View Sectional Doors (fifteen 8’ wide x 10’ high doors and one 24’ wide x 10’ high door) with ClearView aluminum struts and ½-inch clear tempered glass.
