Amanda Vogt, National Venturing President, Photo Log October 2008, Abilene, Kansas
To market Venturing to Religious Youth Groups, the Coronado Council sent invites to youth groups throughout central Kansas. The plan was to let the youth experience a fun day of activities (archery,
shotgun shooting, climbing tower, mountain biking, etc.) and the adults to see the possibilities for their groups that Venturing offers. I was invited to the event to make the presentation about Venturing to
both the youth and the adults.

I’m ready to take on Annie Oakley. Well not quite,
but I did manage to hit a few of the clay birds. Prospective Venturer tries her hand at the climbing tower.
Prospective Venturers tryout a few of
the activities available at a Scout Camp.
My Dad, Bob Vogt, the Central Region Area 5 Venturing Chair, tries his hand at shotgun shooting.

Coordinator is also a very good shot.
In the left photo, I’m presenting to the youth ministers how Venturing can add to and enhance their already existing youth program. After that 45-minute presentation, I went to the council ring and talked to all the youth about how Venturing can
be a fun and leadership training addition to their youth group’s existing program.
