White Room Challenge
Athens Technical College and University of Georgia design students went head-to-head in the 1st annual White Box Challenge. We took a 12' x 14' empty room and turned it into livable space as Home & Garden show attendees watched. Both schools were provided with a $1,500 virtual budget from Habitat for Humanity. Dalton Carpet One provided the flooring choices. My Athens Tech classmates and I were chosen as the winners by the judging panel, which included Michael Carr, Laura Sterns, and Andrew Downs.
Rackley Family Living Room
Interior Design Fundamentals
Fall 2013
This goal of this project was to create a design board for a room of our choice in a residential residence.
My design was for a living room in a mountain home. The design style I was going for was rustic chic. I followed the design principle of unifying opposites by marrying formal selections with informal selections.
All American Restaurant
Under the Sea Nursery
Interiors Seminar
Spring 2014
The goal of this project was to include a local artist’s artwork into a residential or commercial design.
I incorporated cubism paintings into a nursery design. I designed the nursery so that it could grow along with the child. The crib can transition into a toddler bed, whereas all other selections have the potential to remain in the space for years to come.
Small Big House
Design Studio I Spring 2014 The goal of this project was to design a small house that would not surpass a 40’ x 40’ size limit. My house design was for a secondary vacation home for a couple without children.

Cityscape Chair
History of Interiors and Architecture II
Spring 2013
The Cityscape Chair is a one-of-a-kind chair that I designed and built. My inspirations were cityscapes, Benjamin Rollins Caldwell's Organ Chair, and Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s high back chairs.
The body of the chair is constructed of PVC pipes held together with PVC cement. The seat is a foam cushion covered in a skyscraper patterned fabric.
