Rainfall mapping
Indonesian’s rainfall mapping depends on Geographical location. • West coastal has more rainfall than East coastal• Rainfall on the West more than East , ie island series from Java,
Bali, NTB, & NTT that connected with narrow strait West Java is the most rainfall
• The heighest Rainfall is on to the land that has 600 - 900 m over sea level.
Rainfall mapping• The average of rainfall in Indonesia are 2000 - 3000 mm/year { it
always different every year & each places ) • Average rainfall less than 1000 mm, covered 0,6% from Indonesia,
ie. Nusa Tenggara, & 2 district on Sulawesi (lembah Palu & Luwuk).• Provinces that have average rainfall between1000 - 2000 mm per
year are : part of Nusa Tenggara, Merauke, Kepulauan Aru, & Tanibar.
• Provinces that have average rainfall between 2000 - 3000 mm per year are East Sumatera , South & East Borneo, most of West Java, Center of Java & part of Irian Jaya , Maluku Island & Most of Sulawesi
• Provinces that have average rainfall between more than 3000 mm per year are highland in West Sumatera, Center of Borneo, HIghland in Cener of Irian Jaya & some district in Java, Bali, Lombok & Sumba
• The highest rainfall is in Batu Raden – East Java, it almost 7,069 mm per year

What did we do for rainwater harvesting?
Sumatera
• Reservoir [ Batam , Riau ] less of clean water
• Conservation Area [ North Sumatera, West Sumatera ]
• Water Storage [ South Sumatera , Aceh ]
Banyuasin / South Sumatra, they used water storage 10 x 10 x 5 metres for 1 RT ( Rukun Tetangga = neigbours )
Java
• Man made Lake [ Jakarta, Center of Java ]
• Water Storage [ Center of Java & West Java]
Nusa Tenggara
• Special in ALor supporting by UNICEF

They made a big tank & collecting with plastic bottle
Irian Jaya
• Special in Irian supporting by UNICEF
They collecting with plastic bottle
Water storage that have been used in Indonesian village
1. Large earthenware bowl for water (made from clay )2. Water storage ( made from bamboo & concrete )3. Bamboo Pipe installation 4. Storage from spring water5. Geomembrane liners ( man made lake ) major City6. Absorbing well in housing6. Aqueduct for resorption7. Using Conblock than concrete for parking area9. Levelling for agricultural land10. Water Conservation area11. Revitalization for Lake, River 12. Forest conservation13. Water tank/storage from rainwater on home & building
Suggestion for infrastructure
• Porous cement for pavement layer ( pervious pavement )
Suggestion
• Porous asphalt for pavement layer
Thank you
God Bless you
