REPORT OF ALUMNI ACTIVITIES
Alumni association assists and encourages connection between alumni and students
keeps the members involved in the institutional developmental activities. A strong alumni
association is an important and necessary component which provides support, assistance, advice
to the students and the institution. With their aim alumni association of the college is working
actively formally and informally since its inception in the year 2007.
Vision:
Creating and strengthening relationships between the institution and alumni, to commit
them to the institution’s mission and to involve them in providing service to the institution where
they studied.
Mission:
Seeks to strengthen alumni bonds.
Encourages alumni to stay connected, serve the institution & participate in institutional
extension & outreach programs.
Supports the present students by providing necessary guidance for their career planning.
Participate in institutional social responsibility activities to create awareness and motivate
the students.
With this vision and mission the alumni association meet every year and decide upon the
activities to be taken up.
Following are the activities in which the alumni have participated.
1. Governance & Leadership: Two alumni members are working in the institutional
development committees they are:
Ms. Shailaja – Advocate, Dist.Court, Sangareddy is working as a member of
Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC).
Ms. Anitha – College Girls Hostel Welfare Officer is working as a member of
College Planning and Development Council (CPDC).
Through participation in the meetings of the committee they suggest plans for quality
sustenance, quality enhancement and for the institutional development.
2. Legal Literacy Camp: Alumni association member, IQAC member Ms.Shailaja &
Anuradha, Alumnus of the college working as advocates in the Dist court, co-ordiante and
help the institution in organising legal literacy camps every year. They also participate,
provide information relating to women protection acts, interact with students and clarify
their doubts. High court Judge, Dist. Sessions Judges advocates & Police officials are
invited as resource persons to provide awareness about various acts relating to women.

3. Eco friendly activities: Alumni participated in the institutional eco friendly activities
like vanamahotsavam along with Dist. Collector Sri. Suresh Kumar, staff & students on
09.07.2011 and planted tree saplings. They also participate in the Clean & Green
programs, Swacch Bharath and Haritha Haram programs. Periodically cleans the
campus and plant tree saplings. They also motivate the students to plant trees in their
villages.
4. Participation as resource persons:
International women’s Day and farewell to outgoing students – 04.03.2014
Ms. Shailaja, Advocate, Ms. Swapna, Teacher, alumnus members participated in the
International Women’s Day celebrations and farewell to outgoing students by juniors on
04.03.2014. They addressed the students on this occasion provided stress management tips to
face the exams, encouraged them to pursue higher studies, advised to empower themselves and
take part in national development. During lunch break many students interacted with them and
learned things from their experiences.
Personality Development:
Ms. Shiva Kumari, Alumnus of the college, presently working with “Brahma
Kumaris Association” participated in a personality development programme on
28.08.2014 as resource person. She spoke about the important tips that help to improve
their personality, bringing positive approach, being confident and always loving
others, being generous to others etc. After her address students actively participated in
interactive session and exchanged their views and ideas with her.
5. VIPANI: Alumni participated in VIPANI - Students FETE, interacted, motivated the
students, gave few suggestions in an informal way through their takes and encouraged
them by purchasing food, fancy & handicraft items. They participated in games &
dances along with students in a joyful mood.
6. Alumni – Student Meet: Interaction with students and providing necessary guidance.
Whenever the alumni visit the college to participate in institutional activities &
meetings, they interact with the students. Give suggestions and provide necessary
guidance, advice the students to pursue higher studies and upcoming opportunities in
the job market, skills that need to be developed to face the global challenges. The
students learn many things from the experiences of the alumni through open
discussions.
7. Alumni - Teacher interaction: The passed out students visits the institution
periodically interact with faculty and exchange their views and experiences take
guidance, give feedback about the college, staff, facilities available etc. They also give
suggestions for quality enhancement & institutional development.
8. Greeting the faculty on Teachers Day: Visit the college on teachers day meet & greet
the faculty, interacts and exchange their views. Some of them greet the faculty on
phone.
9. Donation of Books: On Alumni Association’s motivation outgoing students donate
text books & study material to the students every year. Alumni association too donate
books to the poor students.
10. Conducting Competitions: The Alumni Association conducted competitions and
distributed prizes.
11. Feedback: They provide feedback about the teacher performance, support services,
facilities available and suggestion for development & improvement in all aspects. Both
formally through written format and informally through discussions and exchange of
views with the staff.
12. Tutorials and guest lectures: Our Alumni engage tutorial classes to the students and
also deliver guest lectures.
13. Donations: Alumni donate books every year.
