Haomei was established in Foshan (PRC) back in 1990. The business was mainly based on the production of windows, doors and curtain wall extrusions. Originally the factory was set up in Dali, within the Nanhai area of the Guangdong province over an area of approximately 60,000 sqm. Within 15 years, the company increased its production capacity, acquiring 11 new extrusion presses. In 2002, HAOMEI was one of the Chinese leaders in the production of aluminium extruded profiles and became certified ISO9001: 2001 by the IQNET commission. The company became also Qualinod and Qualicoat certified, to better penetrate the European market. In 2004, Haomei was awarded “Best provider of customer satisfaction based on quality/service ratio”.

In 2005, due to the need for expansion of the business, new facilities were constructed, covering an area of over 500,000 sqm. At that time Haomei and Vic sign a joint venture agreement. Today Vic holds the position of exclusive branch office of HAOMEI in Europe.The ability to transfer the Italian innovative layout and technological know-how to the Asian partner has facilitated consistent and continuous increase in production ensuring not only significant economic advantage, but maximum quality, reliability and logistics fluidity.

The combination of asian and european properties brings international fame to the Chinese company strengthening the consolidation of its position as leader of the aluminium market - holding in 2011, 34 operating presses with approximately 200,000 active dies. A new Production site, built close to the current one, covers 2 millions square meters, enabling Haomei to achieve a total of 2.5 millions square meters area.

Since October 2013, Haomei has achieved listing in the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the largest in the world.

History

The Green Haomei

Although the huge dimensions of Haomei operating buildings, its view and surrounds are envy to many. The plant is encircled by natural mountains and gardens. In the interest of preserving the environment, our eco-system, our future and that of our children, the treatment of recycled water and any pollutants from our business are dealt with utilising the latest environmental concepts available to us.

We support therefore the culture of low business impact and recycling, which are core in HAOMEI business model and compatible with research and progress. Following the latest global initiative on safeguarding the environment, the plant uses a biogas power plant and effluent treatment technology that ensures that our production facility leaves a minimal carbon footprint and is environmentally friendly.

The Plant…

Built on 2 million square meters, the new Haomei workshop covers an area twice the size of the current production site, hosting offices, warehouse and the new center of research and development for the creation of open and sliding systems favouring the expansion of the brand Bucalus throughout the world. Production continues at a fast pace and aims to be completed by the end of 2016.

New presses will be installed from 1,500 t to 12,000 t, more anodic plants, new powder coating lines horizontal and vertical, PVDF, sublimation, phosphochroming, as well as automatic lines drawing. Giant presses of 6,000/ 9,000/ 10,000/12,000 tons will be installed in addition to a new automated machine.

Haomei industrial park was set up in 2005 covering an area of 500,000 square meters. The constant increase in production year after year, enables the company to expand its own production site. By the beginning of 2012, the industrial park covers a total area of about 1 million sqm., of which about 550,000 are covered.

HAOMEI manage the entire production chain from the design, the implementation of the dies, the extrusion process, the anodizing or powder coating of the profiles to the thermal cut, the additional mechanical finishing of the material to the logistics of transportation.

The production is highly automated and all the main functions are totally computerized thanks to the importation of the best technologies and machinery from Japan, Taiwan, USA and Europe.

The actual plant has seven smelting furnaces of 20 tons, four furnaces for casting a total of 30 ton in billets (with vertical “hot pot” technique), two horizontal homogenization ovens and one linear degassing and filtration system, complete with the latest ceramic filters.

The smelting and casting facilities have the technology and state of the art laboratory equipment to supply homogenized billets for high quality extrusion and operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year basis, using only primary aluminium ingots. This has not only improved the production efficiency, but also the quality of the aluminium billets possessing higher metallurgical specifications.

We are specialized in the series 6xxx and also 2xxx, which we developed enhancing their mechanical properties so that they can replace some steel components in many industrial fields.

The modern computerized control system present in our internal laboratories, enables the alloy to be checked and issued with analysis certificated on site.

Facilities

Dies are produced for the extrusion of aluminium profiles and are constantly improved and corrected if necessary, on the basis of our customers’ need.

The department of die production and maintenance, is spread over an area of 20,000 sqm. and we currently guarantee the management of 200,000 active dies, with an extremely wide range of sizes of standard profiles.

At the same time, we work together with our customers to create new customized products of high quality, which are very competitive on the market in any application field.

We produce a wide range of alloys for different market segments, with a capacity of approximately 150.000 tons/year.

During 2015 and 2016, new presses from 1,500 t to 12,000 t, will be installed in the new production site next to the current location and aluminium global production will be doubled.

Production Line

Haomei introduced 5 powder coating lines from Switzerland, 3 vertical and two horizontal. One of these lines is interchangeable and can be used both for powder coating and electrophoresis or PVDF treatments.All the lines use Swiss GEMA technology and are fully automated. The maximum length for the horizontal lines is 12m and 7m for the vertical lines.The annual capacity is around 20 million sqm., or approx. 75,000 tons.

Haomei anodizing department has recently grown by 30% including 4 anodising lines which use latest generation equipment. Two of them are specifically made to obtain any organic and/or electric colour.

The third line has been designed for polishing, it is suitable for profiles that are mechanically or manually cleaned. The fourth line is used for nickel and special treatments. The department has 188 eight meters long tanks, including 31 current rectifiers with a total capacity of 60,000 A.

Surface Finishing

From our early beginnings with the production of windows, doors and curtain walls extrusions, we expanded our production to include a wide variety of products directed to different fields of application. With a solid technological basis and great technical-productive capabilities, we continuously investigate new products to satisfy the highly customised requirements of each industrial sector. Currently we have 200,000 active dies, with an extremely wide range of sizes of standard profiles. HAOMEI produces alloys of high technological content to exploit the potential of each element and create a metal that satisfies the expectations of the different industrial sectors.

Alloys of the 6xxx series cover the majority of extruded production. These alloys are used in many industrial sectors for their appealing characteristics: high transformability, simplicity of heat treatment, good conductivity, good mechanical properties, high quality of surface finish, high resistance to corrosion, easy solderability. In addition to the 6xxx series, we developed the 2xxx series, enhancing its mechanical properties and offering at the same time the opportunity of replacing some steel components used in various industrial sectors.

The department is constantly updated with state of the art machinery to provide a product that is always competitive on the international market. On top of lathes, simple cutting machinery and high precision adjustment, there are:

Every care is taken regarding the packaging and loading of the material into the container. Each bundle is packed using the strictest rules on the protection and preservation of surfaces according to customers’ specifications and requirements.

Once ready, the bundles are loaded onto the container using special steel trolleys, which allow an easier handling of the goods, making the process of loading and unloading much quicker. The bundles are secu-red inside the container with very strong straps and are fixed to the walls using special lateral highly protective airbags.Export Packaging

In 2002 HAOMEI Aluminium Co. Ltd became one of the first enterprises in China whose products were exempt from Chinese Quality Surveillance Inspection. In respect to our QA management, HAOMEI Aluminium Co. Ltd received authentication of ISO9001:2000 Standard Quality Management System from IQNET for the production of aluminium extrusions, including anodizing, powder coating and electrophoresis coated surface treatments.
