Own toolmaking, mould design and construction We have our own toolmaking, equipment-, mould and die construction which form the basis of our pre-fab-rication. Upon request, prototypes and pre-series will be manufactured directly and quickly in our factory. Requests for modification can promptly be re-alized.

Development and production in our factoryAll steps from the first contact beyond the development of the product until the start of series production are ef-fected within our company. Everything is handled in op-timised processes. This saves time and you only have one contact person who is looking after all issues.

The precision potentiometers of this product line are suitable for the application in all industrial areas. The reinforced glass-fibre plastic housing offers high strength and thermal resistance. It can be further encapsulated and then achieves protection class IP65/67.The version with multiple noble metal tap is particularly well suited for the actual value sensing.

The potentiometer can optionally be designed with a shaft led through on the rear side and is available as multiple version.

All types of this product line can be individually ad-apted – already from one unit onwards – to meet your requirements.

The precision potentiometers of this product line are parti-cularly well suited for the use as actual value transmitters in all industrial sectors. They are extremely robust due to the high-quality alumini-um housing. The standard ball-bearing mounted shaft of stainless steel is absorbing axial and radial forces without any problem. The housing can be produced to meet the standard up to protection class IP67. For increased vibrati-on or shock exposure the oil filling offers optimal reliability.

The product line of the low torque resistors stands out due to the extremely low torque of 0,003 Ncm, by which they can be adjusted very sensitively. In order to achie-ve this torque, the contact pressure of the tapper on the winding is kept as low as possible. The variable resistors consist of a wound resistance wire and a slider, which is coupled to the needle shaft of the measuring device by a clutch system. For tapper and winding only noble-metal alloys with high corrosion resistance are used.

The series F25 provides a long life and is particularly well suited for the use in measuring instruments with pointer function. The model series F25Z is especially manufactu-red for this application area.

For the Low Torque Resistors we are offering clutch forks and clutch levers as accessories. A measuring transdu-cer with output signal 0/4…20mA or 0…10VDC is additi-onally integrable.

The product types DMG 18 / 19 have a reinforced glass-fibre plastic housing and can be supplied with a shaft in inch version (Ø 6,35mm) as well as in metric version (Ø 6mm). Furthermore, the resistance wire can alternatively be furnished with a hybrid element which provides a longer life. The model types DMG 22 / 23 / 24 are equipped with a high-quality aluminium housing which protects against outside influences. Alternatively a hybrid element can be inserted also for these versions.

All types are available with 3, 5 or 10 turns. Optionally, the combination with a gear potentiometer offers the most varied reduction ratios. Moreover, a sensor installation with output signal 0/4…20mA or 0…10VDC is possible.

All types of this product line can be individually adapted – already from one unit onwards – to meet your requirements.

The precision linear potentiometers type LL32/DL32 re-liably measure linear paths for industrial applications. Precision wire or conductive plastic can be chosen as resistor element. The conductive plastic version can be designed for measured displacements up to 1000mm, the standard wirewound version is available for paths up to 250mm.

The anodized aluminium housing is very robust and of-fers protection against outside influences, the standard version up to protection class IP60. Sliding bearings en-sure a smooth running. Optionally, the potentiometers can be equipped with calliper spring or integrated return spring. The absolute output signal can be displayed by an integrated measuring transducer as 0…10VDC or 0/4…20mA signal.

Foil Potentiometers – AFP

As an alternative to our linear wirewound and conductive plastic potentiometers we also offer foil potentiometers. The foil potentiometers are hermetically sealed conducti-ve plastic membrane potentiometers. They operate as an endlessly variable voltage divider. Due to their flat design they are especially well suited for applications with limi-ted space and can be adapted easily to the most varied requirements. The operation can be effected by slider tapping or manually.

Standard linear elements are available from 50 – 500mm, customer specific versions can be supplied both with smal-ler and larger lengths. Furthermore also rotary versions with an outside diameter as from approx. 40mm are possible. Magnetic foil potentiometers offer another possibility. The contacting of the foil is ensured by a magnet and a ferrous band. This contactless measuring method ex-ceeds the principle of a conventional foil potentiometer. It is extremely long-lasting and can be used in the same applications.

Linear Elements

Based on our longterm experience with linear resistor elements we are offering versions with conductive plastic. These elements can be adapted to individual customer requirements and can be integrated into existing appli-cations.

Due to their long life they are offering a very attractive cost/performance ratio. They consist of a base material and a resistor track which is applied to the support by screen-printing technique. Furthermore, special customer adaptations are possib-le which consist of the linear element and a functioning potentiometer with slider system. The potentiometers we are using are our multiturn poten-tiometers type DMG23 and our precision potentiometers type DP113 and DP18 . All potentiometers are equipped with end stops. In order to protect the gear against over-loading a special slide coupling is integrated.

In addition we offer to provide the gear potentiometer with further components such as a limit switch and respective cam disc or segment disc (see page 46). The limit switches can either be integrated in a construction stage or can be mounted on the rear-side. According to requirements you may choose between limit switches for low-voltage current (gold-crosspoint contacts) or for 220V (silver contacts).

The gear potentiometer has a robust aluminium housing (optionally stainless steel housing) and is equipped with central fixing M12x1.

Additionally it can be furnished with a sensor output signal (0/4…20mA or 0…10VDC).

For mounting to your application we offer a clamp block which is equipped with a multi adapter for a top-hat rail 35mm (see page 47).

The connection of the gear potentiometer is effected by cable.

The gear potentiome-ters are characterized by their modular construc-tion. The assembly of the components is effected according to your speci-fications.

Motor PotentiometersMP40

We are using direct current motors of well-known brand name manufacturers. You may choose between operatio-nal voltages of 6, 12 and 24 Volt. The potentiometers we are employing are our multiturn potentiometers DMG23 and our precision potentiometers DP113 and DP18. All potentiometers are fitted with end stops. In order to protect the motor and the gear against overloading a special slide coupling is integrated.

In addition we offer to equip the motor potentiometer with further components such as a limit switch and respective cam disc or segment disc (see page 46). The limit switches can either be integrated in a construction stage or can be mounted on the rear-side. You may choose between limit switches for low-voltage current (gold-crosspoint contacts) or for 220V (silver contacts).

The motor potentiometer is equipped with a robust alu-minium housing (optionally stainless steel housing) and central fixing M12 x 1.

Additionally it can be furnished with a sensor output signal (0/4…20mA or 0…10VDC).

For mounting to your application we offer a clamp block which is equipped with a multi adapter for a top-hat rail 35mm (see page 47).

The connection of the motor potentiometer is effected by terminal block.

The motor potentiometers stand out due to their modular construction: Potentiometer – gear – motor.The assembly of the components is effected according to your speci-fications.

The HWS22 is an abso-lute measuring techno-logy for rotation angles up to 360°. The absolute measuring is referring to a mechanical index point so that even at rotation during a power failure the new angle position can be correctly detec-ted.

Panel Potentiometers

The panel potentiometers have a metal housing and a coal layer or conductive plastic resistor element. By this they provide a cost-efficient solution.

They can be supplied with two different shaft diameters and central fixings as well as optionally with a classical linear or positive-logarithmic signal. Furthermore options with switch and centre locking as well as tandem versi-ons are possible.

Innovation: LP11Our smallest potentiometerThe LP11 stands out by its especially compact construction. The housing with integrated thread is made of plastic and therefore offers a very cost-efficient version. The resistance element is conductive plastic (alternatively also available with cermet). This potentiometer may be used in the field of mechanical engineering, particularly for power tools. Further details upon request.

The limit switch of subminiature size has a toggle-spring mechanism with a corrosion resistant helical tension spring. The actuation is effected by a roller lever with low actuation force. Two switch types are available for low-voltage current (gold contacts) and for output power applications (silver contacts).
